WikiGap Challenge[edit]
Hi! I noticed that you took part in WikiGap Challenge last year. I just wanted to inform you that we are running the Challenge this year too, to improve the representation of women on Wikipedia! For WikiGap Challenge 2020, the first prize is to go to Geneva and visit UN Human Rights. Writing one of the bonus points articles, about women active in human rights, yields double points in the competition. I hope you join this year too! AfroCine: 2020 Months of African Cinema Contest Winners[edit]

Thank you very much for participating in The 2020 Months of African Cinema Global Contest which was concluded on 30 November 2020. The contest was able exceed all expectations, with the creation of over 3,200 articles written in 19 languages. This places the contest firmly as one of the most successful article writing contest on Wikipedia.

After successfully completing the 2021 Months of African Cinema Global Contest on 30 November 2021, we are happy to announce the winners in the contest!
Over 4,000 articles were created across 17 language Wikipedias, surpassing all expectations and placing the contest firmly as one of the most successful article-writing contests on Wikipedia. The "Reglement Organique" is a historical term used to describe the fundamental law or administrative regulations that governed the Mount Lebanon Mutasarrifate, an Ottoman administrative region that existed from 1861 to 1918. - In the section of "Exacavation history" of the article, first paragraph, it says and I qoute "In 1860, French biblical scholar and orientalist Ernest Renan carried out an archeological mission in Lebanon and Syria during the French expedition in the area". The link of French expedition in the area refers to French campaign in Egypt and Syria in (1798–1801), nearly 59 years before Earnest Renan came to Lebanon, who actually came following the 1860's civil conflict in Syria. I couldn't find an article about French expedition in Lebanon in 1860 in both French and English wikipedia, only the aricle Règlement Organique has some details about it. - You're right about the Egypt and Syria campaigns. French academic and cultural interest in the Near East during the 19th century, was partly influenced by the earlier French campaign led by Napoleon. The campaign sparked European interest in the history and culture of the Near East, and scholars like Renan were among those who later explored and studied the region in greater depth but the two are not related. - Thanks for updates. May I also refer to what it seems a repeated number, the last sentence in the section of Finds/Sarcophagi, says "The sarcophagi of tombs IV, V, VII and VII were extracted.." VII is written twice, I checked the source's page N. 75 and the two pages before and after and I couldn't find anything related to this information and which tomb does the repeated number refer to. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
