March 2015[edit]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a message letting you know that one or more of your recent edits to Beijing University of International Business and Economics has been undone by an automated computer program called ClueBot NG.

Information icon Please refrain from making nonconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Beijing University of International Business and Economics with this edit. Your edits appear to constitute vandalism and have been reverted or removed. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Administrators have the ability to block users from editing if they repeatedly engage in vandalism. Thank you. PhantomTech (talk) 06:21, 2 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Warning icon Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to vandalize Wikipedia, you may be blocked from editing. Babita arora 09:51, 2 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

  • You can start a deletion discussion for an article if you like, but there is no point at all in putting a notice on an article saying that it is being discussed for deletion when it actually isn't. Doing that will not somehow cause a deletion discussion to appear. 80.168.236.149 (talk) 12:31, 2 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

March 2015[edit]

Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, articles should not be moved, as you did to Beijing University of International Business and Economics, without good reason. They need to have a name that is both accurate and intuitive. Wikipedia has some guidelines in place to help with this. Generally, a page should only be moved to a new title if the current name doesn't follow these guidelines. Also, if a page move is being discussed, consensus needs to be reached before anybody moves the page. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Information icon Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Beijing University of International Business and Economics. Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been reverted or removed.

  • If you are engaged in an article content dispute with another editor then please discuss the matter with the editor at their talk page, or the article's talk page. Alternatively you can read Wikipedia's dispute resolution page, and ask for independent help at one of the relevant notice boards.
  • If you are engaged in any other form of dispute that is not covered on the dispute resolution page, please seek assistance at Wikipedia's Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents.

Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive, until the dispute is resolved through consensus. Continuing to edit disruptively could result in loss of editing privileges. Thank you. --ToonLucas22 (talk) 21:14, 3 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent edits[edit]

Information icon Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button ( or ) located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 02:05, 4 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Legal threats[edit]

In view of a range of edits you made between 02:00 and 02:30 UTC today, 4 March, your attention is drawn to Wikipedia's policy on legal threats. --David Biddulph (talk) 04:02, 4 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon There is currently a discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents regarding an issue with which you may have been involved. The thread is Legal threats. Thank you. --David Biddulph (talk) 04:12, 4 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Minor edits[edit]

A number of edits which you have recently marked as minor edits appear not to be compliant with the definition at WP:MINOR, which you may not have read. --David Biddulph (talk) 04:04, 4 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation[edit]

Hi Amuwazi. On Wikipedia, when two articles would otherwise have confusingly similar titles, we use a process called "disambiguation" to make them less ambiguous. You can read more about the standard ways of doing this at Wikipedia:Article titles#Disambiguation.

Since Shanghai University of International Business and Economics exists, it is unfair for University of International Business and Economics to only refer to the school in Beijing since neither school is clearly more important than the other. You objected to so-called "Natural Disambiguation" (putting Beijing at the beginning of the name), so another standard way of doing this is to put additional information, such as a location, in parentheses after the title (as I did with University of International Business and Economics (Beijing)). This is used on lots of Wikipedia articles, and the article itself states the name of the institution as just "University of International Business and Economics". --Ahecht (TALK

March 2015[edit]

Stop icon Your recent edits to User talk:Ahecht could give Wikipedia contributors the impression that you may consider legal or other "off-wiki" action against them, or against Wikipedia itself. Please note that making such threats on Wikipedia is strictly prohibited under Wikipedia's policies on legal threats and civility. Users who make such threats may be blocked. If you have a dispute with the content of any page on Wikipedia, please follow the proper channels for dispute resolution. Please be sure to comment on content, not contributors, and where possible make specific suggestions for changes supported by reliable independent sources and focusing especially on verifiable errors of fact. @Ahecht:Hello Ahecht, to make it short, you make me understand Wikipedia is a place you don`t talk about laws. May I claim you have Policy Treat on me as well?I insist on you make modifications which are illegal according to Chinese law, when two univs are both in China. But thank you for correction from the wrong "Beijing UIBE" item. Happy new year and see you someday on US court as you required. Again, please stop Policy Treat on me, it`s illegal off-wiki.

Request reason:

Hello, you Wikipedia claims that you don`t tolerate any copyright problem and we can even quick delete a page with copyright issue without discussion on Talk. However, in User talk:Hades1011, your administrator @Ravensfire: admits a copyright issue on UIBE page but says "And it doesn't matter here. At all.". On the contrary, when I talk about copyright in law, you say it`s legal threat?Stop kidding and think about it again please. Btw , @Ravensfire:, I have only one account on wikipedia and you`d better apologize to suspect me to act as another user. Everyone from our university now have known this issue on wikipedia but why should they all be me? Amuwazi (talk) 09:36, 8 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

Clear legal threats being made by telling users that their actions are "illegal" and that you intend to sue them. You'll never be unblocked if you continue/persist in these threats. only (talk) 12:21, 8 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

@Ravensfire:@Only:@Yngvadottir:@Ahecht:To make it more clear, both "UIBE" and "University of International Business and Economics" are registered brands in Chinese registration authorities. Please see below links and search Registered Number 5015534 and 5015531 in the column of "注册号/申请号”, and wait for a few seconds. Or you may ask your Chinese editors for help to verify. http://sbcx.saic.gov.cn:9080/tmois/wszhcx_getZhcx.xhtml

"Any modification and wrong redirection is illegal and can be sued from China or USA." If you persist with this kind of legal threat, we will revoke your talk page access. only (talk) 12:51, 8 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@Only:Hello Only, please kindly think about this: This is an obvious copyright issue, which one of your administrators has already admitted and I have provided detailed evidence as above. Copyright issue is said to be not tolerable on Wikipedia by yourselves, but you still pretend not seeing it and remain the wrong modification and redirection. I don`t see any so-called Wikipedia Spirit here. Sorry but I preserve my rights and use law to fight with you. Please revoke my talk page if you really think it`s appropriate. Don`t bring shame on Wikipedia please!!!Btw,please don`t ping me anymore after you revoke my talk page since I won`t be able to answer.@Ravensfire:@Yngvadottir:@Ahecht:Amuwazi (talk) 13:02, 8 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
