A tag has been placed on HUMAN REALITY who we are and why we exist, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam as well as Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. - Realkyhick (Talk to me) 23:13, 27 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

November 2009[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you removed a speedy deletion tag from HUMAN REALITY who we are and why we exist, a page you have created yourself. If you do not believe the page should be deleted, you can place a {{hangon}} tag on the page, under the existing speedy deletion tag (please do not remove the speedy deletion tag), and make your case on the page's talk page. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. Thank you. MuffledThud (talk) 23:31, 27 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not remove speedy deletion notices from pages you have created yourself, as you did with HUMAN REALITY who we are and why we exist. Please use the {{hangon}} template on the page instead if you disagree with the deletion, and make your case on the page's talk page. Thank you. Human Reality[edit]

I've deleted the article, as it is overtly promotional and does not indicate that the book meets Wikipedia's general notability guidelines. In order to become notable by Wikipedia guidelines, a subject should have received multiple non-trivial notices in independent media, in a manner which can be verified. Wikipedia is not a place to advertise or promote something, and the article was deleted primarily because of its promotional character. Acroterion (talk) 00:41, 28 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Book[edit]

Still promotional in nature, with no assertion that it complies with Wikipedia's general notability guidelines. Acroterion (talk) 20:15, 29 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop. If you continue to add promotional material to Wikipedia, you will be blocked from editing. - Realkyhick (Talk to me) 21:25, 29 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I'll keep this on your talk page for the record, and also because I'm not the only editor involved and others might want to chime in. There are actually two criteria that this article did not meet: 1) articles which primarily promote something, and 2) notability thresholds for books, or whether or not a book is notable enough for its own article. I'm not an admin so I can't pull your deleted article back up, but the promotion problem lies in the fact that much of the article read like book-jacket blurbs or press releases from a publisher. As for notability, it appears that the book has not received coverage from independent sources such as newspapers or magazines (blogs don't generally count), hasn't won a major literary award, isn't the basis for a TV show or motion picture, isn't used for instruction in schools, and isn't written by an author who is notable on his or her own.
Let's try this: I'm going to set up what we call a sandbox, where you can work on the article before it "goes live." You can reach the page by clicking here. You can copy the article text into this page, and work on it to make it meet our policies. Then when you think it is ready, let one of us other editors know, and we'll take a look at it. Bear in mind, though, that the book may simply not be notable enough, no matter how well-written an article you come up with. I have an old saying: "The best-written article in the world won't make a non-notable subject notable." - Realkyhick (Talk to me) 01:39, 30 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
