A tag has been placed on Comparison of database tools, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion debate, such as at articles for deletion. Under the specified criteria, where an article has substantially identical content to that of an article deleted after debate, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. I deleted this article originally because it only had one product in the chart, serving in a way as an advertisement of the one product. Recreating the article will not address this flaw in the article. It's also my opinion that the title of the article is too broad a target for such an article. Server databases? Personal databases? If you wish to write an article on this, I'd recommend, at a minimum, including 3-4 products. More importantly, be more specific about what category of products is to be included. If you have any questions, please ask me. Cheers, Pigman 00:53, 24 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I've unprotected the article - you should be able to re-create it now, if you want. Chase me ladies, I'm the Cavalry (talk) 05:05, 24 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent edits[edit]

Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. On many keyboards, the tilde is entered by holding the Shift key, and pressing the key with the tilde pictured. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Deletion review[edit]

I've taken the article to Deletion review here. I thought that was best because of the number of admins who had deleted the article. Please be patient with the process. Unless there is a quick decision, it may take five days for this process to complete. Thanks. Pigman 20:57, 24 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I'm pleased to tell you that opinion in the Deletion Review has been strongly in favor of keeping Comparison of database tools, the article you started. The review is not over but I doubt the article will be deleted. I've restored the last version you edited with a full text at that point. Please accept my sincere apologies for the rush by myself and others to delete the article. It did not deserve that. If there is anything I can to to help you on Wikipedia, please do not hesitate to ask me. Again, I'm sorry for your poor treatment in this matter. Cheers, Pigman 02:02, 25 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
The deletion review has been closed in favor of keeping the Comparison of database tools. Again, if you need help, ask me or the others involved in this matter. I know I feel badly about this case and I suspect they feel likewise. Best, Pigman 20:03, 25 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Article take overs and renames[edit]

Your recent edits completely replacing the Bleach article with the contents of the Bleach (manga) article, followed by a redirect, were completely and wholly inappropriate and have been undone. Article renaming is NOT done in such a fashion, and consensus is needed before doing any such drastic action. The chemical Bleach is the most well know usage of the word, so it properly has the article name of "Bleach" with no disambiguation. The manga series is properly named per the Anime/Manga and overall Wikipedia naming conventions. Please be more careful about such actions in the future as some could consider it vandalism due to the improper way you handled it. Collectonian (talk) 13:13, 14 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
