Welcome!

Hello, Anderoo165, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, you're additions to the Sabden article do not conform to Wikipedia's policy on verifiability and (for now) I have removed them. I have made a copy of the article on your sandbox and made some quick improvements. Although I'm busy right now away from the site, I would be happy to help you improve this version untill it can be moved back into the main space.

You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles. See the Article Wizard.

There's a page about creating articles you may want to read called Your first article. If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the New contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{helpme}} on this page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few other good links for newcomers:

References in Dixon Robinson[edit]

Hi Anderoo165

I have been looking at your contributions to "Dixon Robinson". It appears that the references you added do not show up in the text, I am not sure why this is, but it needs some editing to make it work. As I have added another reference since, so your reference numbers will be out of order now. I would try myself but I am not sure what is wrong.

Cheers Thomas Robinson

Sabden[edit]

Hello again,

I'm not sure why you did not respond to my previous message, but I see you have recreated the additions to the Sabden article that I'd removed. While I note your use of citations which is an improvement, I find much of the content to be either misleading, dubious or in places inappropriate for an encyclopia. As the article is likely viewed by 10s of people a month I don't think that I need to remove it right away, but it can't stay for ever. I've started making some improvements and opened some discussions on the talk page. It would be nice if you could get involved. --Trappedinburnley (talk) 19:04, 8 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi sorry not replied earlier, as you will be aware I am new to this...and the site/ advice etc is complicated and not good to follow...I don't think anything I have added is mileading or dubious, and if it is inappropriate, it needs removing anyway. I will reply at length in time.(Anderoo165 (talk) 00:25, 13 February 2014 (UTC))[reply]
It damages Wikipedia to have incorrect info on the site and although against the rules, experience suggests that the easiest course of action in these situations is to remove your additions and shall I say, dissuade you from contributing further. However I feel we need more editors here with an interest in local history and if you are willing to work constructively, I’m willing to help make sure that your contributions are up to scratch. I should make it clear that I'm not a fan of writing on talk pages, I'd much rather be doing more creative stuff, and I'm making an effort to be welcoming here. I should also point out that the two discussions that I started on the Sabden talk page are not the only issues I have with the content, but I didn't want to waste more of my time should you decide not to respond. --Trappedinburnley (talk) 20:26, 13 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Listed buildings in Clitheroe[edit]

Sorry I had to remove your addition, as I said in the edit summary, Bellmanpark Lime Kilns is a Scheduled monument not a Listed building. I have however included your work in this incomplete article:User:Belovedfreak/Monuments. It was started a few years ago and needs some fresh energy. If you would like to contribute to it I would be happy to help. Trappedinburnley (talk) 20:07, 15 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
