Herceg Novi[edit]

Hello! I've reverted your changes to the Herceg Novi article, as they are mainly focused on decoupling Igalo from Herceg Novi. Still the article (in my opinion, reasonably) reads:

Due to their proximity, Herceg Novi and Igalo are usually considered one town [...]

Changes to Wikipedia pages are supposed to be based on consensus, so in case you insist on the aforementioned changes, please state your position at talk:Herceg Novi in order to gain the explicit consensus.

P.S.: in case you choose to respond here, I will not be notified of your response automatically. Please, notify me via my talk page if any further clarification on my side is needed. — Dmitrij D. Czarkoff (talk) 20:49, 5 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Herceg Novi and Igalo are two distinct towns. The Igalo photo should be located on the Igalo Wikipedia page at: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Igalo. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Anja888 (talkcontribs) 16:51, 10 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Anja, you may raise the concern on the article's talk page, as you may want to determine the consensus behind the change (see WP:CONSENSUS for details). BTW, please indent your replies, so that your answers can be visually distinguished from previous posts. — Dmitrij D. Czarkoff (talk) 17:13, 10 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Dmitrij, Do you disagree with my change? Can you clarify why you want to include an Igalo photograph on the Herceg Novi page, and not on the Igalo page? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Anja888 (talkcontribs) 17:46, 10 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I replaced the photo with another one, this time showing Herceg Novi. Just removing content isn't a good way to go, specifically once you've already encountered some opposition. I hope this change satisfies everyone; if you find it unacceptable, please raise your concerns on the talk page of the article. BTW, I would suggest you some policies to read, including WP:CONSENSUS, WP:SIGN and WP:PILLARS. Don't get me wrong, I just want to help you avoid potential problems in further editing. — Dmitrij D. Hi Dmitrij, Thank you for replacing the photo. I am glad that the photo is now accurate and is reflective of the page. I tried to replace the photo myself, but was not allowed to upload photos as I had just joined Wikipedia. Thanks for the tips. Take care, Anja
Thank you for drawing my attention to the issue. BTW, in most cases you don't need to upload an image to fix something. In this case I used a readily uploaded image I found following the link to Wikimedia Commons (you can find it in a box near bottom-right corner of the article, "Wikimedia Commons has media related to: Herceg Novi"). Also note, that the preferred way to sign your messages is to place " — ~~~~" right after your message; this is the way my signature is generated. If you need any further assistance or advice, you may find me on my talk page. — Dmitrij D. Czarkoff (talk) 20:34, 10 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
