Farah[edit]

Her regnal name isn't f. The new parameter makes no sense, and it's simpler to merge the two continuous periods when it's one reign. DrKay (talk) 06:44, 19 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I've been trying to correct these new changes I saw on the Shahbanu's page and am in the process of trying to do so. Are you Iranian, if I may ask? Anonyme628 (talk) 06:45, 19 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Please understand there are differences in meaning between Empress, Queen, Empress consort, Queen consort, etc.
Farah Pahlavi was the consort of the Shah of Iran until her coronation, after which she held an official title as Shahbanu, with the legal obligation of singlehandedly ruling Iran if the Shah were to pass away prior to the crown prince reaching adulthood. In such a case, I feel that her title being listed as "Consort of the Shah of Iran" is both historically inaccurate and downplays the importance of the role legal role she received on her coronation day - a title she herself has spoken about a lot and the importance it held for her and all women in Iran. Also do you have a source for the date that her reign as Shahbanu began on 20 March 1961? I'm not sure if you or someone else listed that date, but that was a few years prior to her coronation in 1967. Anonyme628 (talk) 07:00, 19 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
