Speedy deletion nomination of Lil Saint[edit]

A tag has been placed on Lil Saint requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Lil Saint[edit]

The question is, is he notable enough to have a Wikipedia article? As an encyclopedia, Wikipedia is choosy about its article subjects. The test is, have other people, independent of the subject, thought it interesting and important enough to write about? The Wikipedia term for that is notability, and it's not a matter of opinion but needs to be demonstrated by showing "significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject." Significant means more than just listing-type mentions; reliable excludes Myspace, blogs, places where anyone can post anything; independent excludes the subject's own website, affiliated ones and press releases. More detail at WP:Notability (people), and for musical performers at WP:MUSICBIO - just being up and coming isn't enough, Wikipedia isn't for helping to promote new artists. Your article was deleted because it didn't show any evidence that he was notable; if you can cite independent sources to show he meets the standard, go ahead.
