Lagniappe (newspaper)[edit]

Can you provide some examples on Talk:Lagniappe (newspaper) of what you think is promotional or reads like a press release? I updated a referenced and removed some unsourced/outdated material. OhNoitsJamie Talk 15:37, 14 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

It's a 100% positive article. There's zero contrasting information. I thought the previous edits that it looks like were made by a banned user and restored by the IP provided a balanced and neutral POV. Looks like he/she added a line about a reporter from that paper being recently hired by a politician that a bunch of sources seem to indicate has a cozy relationship with the paper, at the least. I don't know why those were removed. Just look at the huge criticism section on The Washington Post.AntoineHound (talk) 15:44, 14 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
That editor is banned, but beyond that, the addition was poorly-sourced and, like most of that editors previous contributions, violating WP:SYNTH. I have no problems with including criticisms of any publication if it's reliably sourced. OhNoitsJamie Talk 15:51, 14 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Let's work together on seeing if we can add some of the material back in a properly sourced way.AntoineHound (talk) 15:53, 14 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I'll move the conversation to the article talk page. OhNoitsJamie Talk 15:56, 14 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Massive page error[edit]

@AntoineHound -- Mobile Government Plaza has never been named the Samuel L. Jones Government Plaza. I made the edit once and it was reverted by @TheTechnician27 and then again by you. THIS IS FALSE INFORMATION. THE COUNTY OWNS THE BUILDING and the Mobile City Council's act was strictly ceremonial. Any news outlets that covered it should have clearly said that it's not official until the County Commission (as building owners) vote to make it so. Mobile County Commission never took up the item.

What is the next step to appeal your decision to keep reverting to false, inaccurate information?

Hello. Simply add that information to the article, if you have sources for it. Because the sources that were cited state that the building was renamed, that is the only reliable information that we have for the article. There aren't any sources that I can find that substantiate your assertion. AntoineHound (talk) 17:32, 26 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

AntoineHound - what is the appeal process? You keep reverting back to false and inaccurate information.

Per WP:DUCK; this account was created the day after User:ManuelLopezz was blocked, now editing same subject areas, almost identical userpages between socks ([1],[2],[3]) OhNoitsJamie Talk 22:44, 26 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
