Be careful when fixing typos or misspellings. "Truely" was part of a quote (hence the comment <!-- sic -->), and we don't change spelling in quotes. Quale (talk) 21:31, 1 March 2008 (UTC)

Sorry, I did not mean to do that,I thought I just removed the <p> tag and the comment. Thanks for telling me.Antonio Lopez (talk) 21:39, 1 March 2008 (UTC)

Is <!-- sic --> part of the qoute? Antonio Lopez (talk)21:54, 1 March 2008 (UTC)

  • The <!-- sic --> is an editorial comment. The <!-- ... -> is an SGML or HTML comment: see HTML element#Comment. Sic is a Latin language word: see sic. The intent was to warn editors that truely shouldn't have its spelling corrected. If you look at the page history for chess you will see that many editors have changed the spelling of "truely", so you have plenty of company. Quale (talk) 10:43, 2 March 2008 (UTC)
I know what a comment is, no need to explain it, I write in XHTML 1.0 Strict a lot. Again, it was mistake. Antonio Lopez (talk)17:44, 2 March 2008 (UTC)

Huggle User Category

Hi there. I have seen that you use huggle by the fact that you have automatically updated the huggle white list(it does this when closing huggle). I was wondering if you would add the category [[Category:Wikipedians who use Huggle]] to your user page so that it fills out and we know who actually uses huggle. If you do not want to you do not have to. I am also sorry if i have already talked to you about this or you no longer use huggle but i sent it to everyone that has edited the page since mid January. I hope we can start to fill out this category. If you would like to reply to this message then please reply on my talk page as i will probably not check here again. Thanks. ·Add§hore· Talk/Cont 18:27, 3 March 2008 (UTC)

Sure, I did not know this category existed. I'm going to add it to my userpage. Thanks for telling me. Antonio Lopez (talk)20:45, 3 March 2008 (UTC)

I'm not the one who vandalized. Antonio Lopez (talk) 01:23, 5 March 2008 (UTC)

I think this whole "vandalism" thing is all a matter of perspective. When you saw wampa time you thought vandalism. Someone else might see it and say to themselves, "hey it is wampa time, wow i guess i shouldent kill myself" that so called vandalism could've saved someone's life. think about it — Preceding unsigned comment added by 96.234.169.95 (talk)

Inactive link in CSL articles

Hello, I was just reading the article <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Out_of_the_Silent_Planet> and tried the external link to the Malacandra wiki, but it is apparently no longer with us (a generic squatter search page came up). I wasn't sure I should edit the page (and it's companion <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Space_Trilogy>). I saw you have edited it before, so I thought I would at least let you know and ask for the proper procedures for reporting such things. I assume you know best how to update the link references, but if there are procedures for reporting such things, I would follow them if someone would point me to them in the help here. Thanks!

David Hayter

Lets talk this out here, rather than through edit messages. As far as I can find there is no evidence anywhere other than wikipedia that he has died. This would point to the death information being false. Why should the tag and past tense remain because of what would seem to be fabricated information? Lastbetrayal (talk) 02:53, 21 March 2008 (UTC)

sorry about that, It's because someone put a source stating he was dead, then again that source could be fake, sorry about that. I have requested for the page to be protected. Antonio Lopez (talk) 02:57, 21 March 2008 (UTC)

After checking Google it seems that the source is fake. Good idea with the page protection. Lastbetrayal (talk) 03:01, 21 March 2008 (UTC)

yeah I did the same thing with google and there was nothing, but I'm not so sure because the source the person provided was not from the internet. Best thing to do now is to wait... Antonio Lopez (talk) 03:05, 21 March 2008 (UTC)
But wouldn't Google pick up the name of the publication? Because newspapers and magazines and ect. typically have websites. Lastbetrayal (talk) 03:07, 21 March 2008 (UTC)
true. I don't even know how this started. I'm going to go check the history. Antonio Lopez (talk) 03:11, 21 March 2008 (UTC)
Random IP address that later got blocked. Lastbetrayal (talk) 03:12, 21 March 2008 (UTC)
found it! [1] [2] my guess tey got an account later on Antonio Lopez (talk) 03:17, 21 March 2008 (UTC)

I'm guessing the new account would be that Naers guy or whatever his name is.. Lastbetrayal (talk) 03:20, 21 March 2008 (UTC)

I noticed that. Antonio Lopez (talk) 03:25, 21 March 2008 (UTC)

I'm sorry that you feel I am the person doing this. I am just fixing what someone put up, it could be labelled a rumor, sure, but best keep it incase. If tomorrow we find out he isn't dead, and there is proof that he is, or proof that the source is fake, then the wikipage will be changed. However I am more concerned about his Biography being delete every so often by vandals with IP addresses, that I am constantly replacing it with an old edition of the wikipage. However I have looked into the newspaper called "Advocate" and it seems to be real, however I cannot find a homepage for this newspaper, nor an article because I do not live in California. I think best bet is to ask someone who lives in California if they can find this so called "article" 03:28, 21 March 2008 (UTC)~Naers

First off; there is no "best keep it incase". Wikipedia is not the place for speculation. Second; how have you "looked into" the Advocate and not have a home page for it? Third; Yes, the vandalism is a pain. But it can wait until this is settled. Lastbetrayal (talk) 03:32, 21 March 2008 (UTC)

well, this situation is on a forum and people are discussing about this. [3]

and this is not Naers fault, is just some IP who started thisAntonio Lopez (talk) 03:34, 21 March 2008 (UTC)

Not blaming him. I was trying to keep an open mind. It would seem I can't portray that though written word though. Lastbetrayal (talk) 03:46, 21 March 2008 (UTC)

Listen, this is my favourite voice actor/actor and I feel that my first objective is to make sure this man is not disrepected. Therefore I say we write in, rumor, until proven wrong or proven true. As for the advocate, I did a google search and did not find a site that shows articles, but found out that it is in Santa Rosa. 03:37, 21 March 2008 (UTC)~Naers —Preceding unsigned comment added by Naers (talkcontribs)

Can't mention the rumor. Wiki is not a place for speculation. Could you give a link as to where you found that information? I could probably get to the bottom of this woth one. Lastbetrayal (talk) 03:46, 21 March 2008 (UTC)
check this out Antonio Lopez (talk) 03:39, 21 March 2008 (UTC)
I all stated because of an IP, check the links I provided or click history.Antonio Lopez (talk) 03:41, 21 March 2008 (UTC)

Recent Reversion on Euphonium

Hello, I noticed that you left a reversion notice on my IPs talk page. I could not find your reversion in the edit history for Euphonium, however the edit I made was not vandalism. I merely changed some references from "baritone and baritone" (same word repeated) to "baritone and baritone horn" which I believed was what was intended from the context, and documented this in the change comments. I see that it now reads "euphonium and baritone," though I do not see this change in the revision history either. There may have been some confusion due to recent edits by someone else who wanted the name of euphonium changed to baritone, and perhaps that is why it said "baritone and baritone" to begin with. In this case, my edit was not vandalism and was clearly an improvement upon the previous iteration which had the repeated word. Also, in the future please document reversions on the talk page unless it is obvious vandalism. 216.36.186.2 (talk) 15:52, 26 March 2008 (UTC)
