What you call obnoxious citation formats

They are my work. Please do not change them. They make working with the article much easier. Thank you. deisenbe (talk) 17:54, 2 February 2022 (UTC)

@Deisenbe: There is no "my work" on Wikipedia. It is collaborative, and using a citation format that takes up so much space is deleterious to that end. This isn't about you. It is about using universal formats and making edit pages navigable. Nothing more. Anwegmann (talk) 22:11, 2 February 2022 (UTC)
You miss my point. I'm not claiming ownership of anything. We agree that articles should be easy to edit (I think that's your point) but we disagree about the way to get there. Bottom line, you make my editing--mine--which is hours almost every day, harder. Rarely does anyone else work on most of the articles I maintain. deisenbe (talk) 23:57, 2 February 2022 (UTC)

Date formats

noted, but it's standard to use five tildes to update the date and that is what I have been doing. I'll try and remember to use the other template. GiantSnowman 16:50, 9 February 2022 (UTC)
