If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Draft:Appliance Tech, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. I have used Wikipedia as reference, the North American Industry Classification System, and United States Environmental Protection Agency testing site for references. There is no representation for an appliance technican anywhere on Wikipedia. However, it is in direct correlation with Home appliance and major appliance repair, and service Appliancetechsc (talk) 08:24, 17 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

February 2024[edit]

Your account has been indefinitely blocked from editing because your account has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia. Also, your username gives the impression that the account represents a business, organisation, group, or web site, which is against the username policy.

If you intend to make useful contributions instead of promoting your business or organization, you may request unblock and a username change. In your reasons, you must:

  • Disclose any compensation you may receive for your contributions in accordance with the paid-contribution disclosure requirement; and
  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked; and
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked; and
  • Provide a new username.

To do this, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with your new username and replace the text "Your reason here" with your reasons to be unblocked.

Please note that the new username you choose cannot already be taken and in use by another account. You can go here to search and see if the username you'd like to choose is available. If the search returns that no global account with that username exists, that means it is available to be taken.

Appeals: If, after reviewing the guide to appealing blocks, you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal it by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your reason here" with the reasons you believe the block was an error, and publish the page. 331dot (talk) 08:33, 17 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I believe my block was made in error, or at least too quickly. I understand why though for the block, you have to protect all the readers from any misinformation. My attempt to put in a resource was only to help, because searching the web I can only find very limited info on the subject. I understand that you need reliable resources and all the ways to be cited. Please unblock me from editing, or contributing. Appliancetechsc (talk) 17:38, 17 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Please follow the instructions to make an unblock request for someone to review. 331dot (talk) 17:42, 17 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Request reason:

I believe my block was made in error, or at least too quickly. I understand why though for the block, you have to protect all the readers from any misinformation. I do understand the advice that was given also. My attempt to put in a resource was only to help, because searching the web I can only find very limited info on the subject. I understand that you need reliable resources and all the ways to be cited. Please unblock me from editing, or contributing.

Decline reason:

You did not propose a new username. — Daniel Case (talk) 07:20, 18 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Also, I read where my username could be looked at as promotional. That's fair. How do I change my username, I have looked all over the tools and account settings. Appliancetechsc (talk) 18:04, 17 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I also read the The six good article criteria. My gathering is to aim more at: Citing independent resource, have no bias, and write more about a subject, rather than a job (or occupation) role. I think this is where I went wrong in my start. Appliancetechsc (talk) 17:58, 17 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your consideration[edit]

I put in a request for a username change. I do not want my username to be thought of as promotional in any way, that's not why I came here. I also read the The six good article criteria. My gathering is to aim more at: Citing independent resources, have no bias, and write more about a subject, rather than a job (or occupation) role. I think this is where I went wrong in my start. But now, after reading into more detail of the block, and how to write and edit, I might just start with some simple edits first, that's is if unblocked. Again, I appreciate your consideration.
