Welcome![edit]

Hello, Arandiro, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of your recent edits to the page Shishak did not conform to Wikipedia's verifiability policy, and may have been removed. Wikipedia articles should refer only to facts and interpretations verified in reliable, reputable print or online sources or in other reliable media. Always provide a reliable source for quotations and for any material that is likely to be challenged, or it may be removed. Wikipedia also has a related policy against including original research in articles.

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you need personal help ask me on my talk page, or ask a question on your talk page. Again, welcome.  Doug Weller talk 11:59, 17 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

This is one of the most difficult things for new editors to grasp, as it's perfectly ok in academic work. Don't let this discourage you from editing, please. Sources almost always need to directly discuss the subject, you can't use a source to make an argument they way you did. Doug Weller talk 12:00, 17 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Jakob Ammann[edit]

Hi, I reverted your edit. The article on Ammann is up to date, and the Mennonite Encyclopedia article needs updated with the current research on Ammann. In the last 20 years much has been confirmed about Ammann's life. Thanks for your efforts to improve Wikipedia. Mikeatnip (talk) 21:49, 5 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

  • Hi, not sure where you get the idea that I chased away JonHarder from this article. I do not remember ever having any controversial discussions with him. His work is, as far as I have worked with him, balanced and resourceful. He is welcome to contact me if he feels that I have pushed him away from this article.
