Lurgan Celebrities[edit]

Hi! Thanks for adding Gayle Williamson. (Is she still single?  :-) I've taken out the red link for now but added a citation. The reason is because I've nominated the Lurgan article for Good Article review, which is a step towards getting it listed as a Featured Article candidate, which is a big deal on Wikipedia because all wiki users in the world will be shown this article on the wiki home page one day. If you have a look at the code you can see the format for adding citations, it's a good thing to do because Good Article reviewers are very fussy about making sure information is sourced. How are you getting on with Ike Weir? I added a citation for him too, seems like an interesting character. If you follow the link in my citation it might help you start off your article about him. Any questions, gimme a shout. Thanks! --Eamonnca1 (talk) 18:42, 1 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Eamonnca, I have no idea how to reply to you, so i hope this is how it's done lol!

About Gayle, I had actually forgotten about her until the day I posted her name on there. You see I remember thinking 'Gosh where are all of Lurgan's famous talented ladies? girlies are letting ourselves down badly here lol!' and Gayle sprung into my head. I live in Lurgan and Gayle is a few years younger than me. Years ago she went out with my former boss's son and that's how I know her. She's really lovely and I wasn't one bit surprised the day she won Miss Northern Ireland. Lovely girl, really down to earth. Jim Corr needs his head examined. I don't know if she is still single, but maybe if you are on facebook you could add her as a friend and ask her?

Apart from Stella McCusker, i'm certain there's another famous actress from Lurgan, but I can't remember her name or what she was in, but i'll keep thinking on that one. Conleth Kane is an actor who was in Casualty for about 4 episodes, and starred in a major british commercial with the pop star Pink. He's one to watch out for. Sean Hegarty and Micky Bartlett are stand up comics who won BBC Northern Ireland's Find Me The Funny. Sean is now about to star in a new Channel 4/E4 sitcom called Shambles. I hope this info is helpful in some way lol!Archiesgone (talk) 17:40, 7 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hello again![edit]

Well i'm sorry if i've messed things up lol but I tried to separate the living celebs as most of them are introduced in the one paragraph and to me it might look better if they were on separate lines from each other, but it hasn't worked yikes! Ah well anyway, I have to say I think you've done a pretty good job on the page and I was wondering if you could perhaps put up a picture of one of Lurgan town's most famous celebs? if you can't that's ok, but I just thought it might be nice. My vote would be for a picture of Gayle, that's because she's by far the best looking out of the lot of them. lol!Archiesgone (talk) 18:35, 7 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, thanks for the edits. Sorry to revert your last changes, but the manual of style on wiki prefers grammatically correct prose over bullet lists, so you have to have a proper verb and everything in a sentence. It'd be good if you could hold back on editing the page for an hour or two, it's being reviewed at the minute for Good Article status. Thanks! --Eamonnca1 (talk) 20:17, 7 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thats ok, I was only killing time anyway lol! The debate about the order of the sports clubs is a bit mad! Archiesgone (talk) 01:36, 10 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
