The Force, on your userpage[edit]

I like the metaphor you made with The Force and Christianity. But further reinforcing this is the fact that the Engrish term for "The Force" is "Presbyterian Church". OneGyT/T|C 20:05, 1 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Christianity archive[edit]

Is there any way you can place the discussion on monotheism in a separate archive so we can direct editors who missed the discussion to the archive? It seems as if we have a few people come along every now and again that missed this debate and attempt to start it again by changing the intro. —Aiden 16:58, 9 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Restorationism[edit]

The Restorationism article is in terrible shape. Amongst its many problems is a complete lack of citations. Do you have any online resources that you feel might help in a cleanup of that article? Everything from style and form to grammar needs attention; I'm willing to do a chunk of the work in cleanup, but I don't have the source background to do it right. Anything you can direct me towards would be appreciated. Thanks, -Kevin/Last1in 22:03, 19 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Christian collaboration[edit]

Hey there. In doing some web browsing, I noticed some of your edits on CKB. I'm a big fan of contributing to Wikipedia whenever possible, but for more detailed Christian information, Christian wikis fill the gap. Unfortunately, in my opinion, few of these wikis are using MediaWiki to its intended potential. What are your thoughts on collaboration across Christian wikis?

P.S. While a whois reveals that archola.com is still registered to you, the site is gone... A look on archive.org reveals that it probably wasn't being updated anyway. Your fellow Internet researcher, J. J. 17:58, 8 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi[edit]

Thanks for the welcome. There were some articles I never got around to writing as I was so wrapped up in all the bureaucracy. Also I suddenly found some more info on Howard Grubb and Mars (I have a friend on the Mars Express Orbiter team and he e-mailed me some stuff) so decided to log on to add it. I had made a few minor edits as an anon when I was on holiday as when you've spent so much time doing something it's really hard to just stop dead. I do intend to keep very low key and only work principally on the science articles and avoid ALL conflict.

I'd also spent so much time with the bad people that it was only when I stopped I realised how much I missed the good. Both times I've left it's been due to my inexperience in an on-line community - I've never even contributed to a message board. Each time I learn something valuable. The first time was that an on-line community can only take so much on trust and to not take it too personally when some checks are done. This time I've learned that I need to keep away from the power struggles and posturing in the admin world. After the Easter issues I thought I would like to be an admin to help out with the really serious problems that do come up which is why I got more involved. Now I realise that the admin world here is a far cry from the one I used to work in and that my ideas and values are out of place.

So am I back? Yes - in a very small limited way I am - and hopefully this time it will be for good. I was hoping no one would notice and was going to e-mail you quietly but am touched that you were still checking on me. However I am very unlikely to show my face on any of the contentious subjects! Sophia[edit]

Damn, that sucks. What the hell happened? (Oh, Hi, by the way  :) •Jim62sch• 19:36, 11 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Boy, that was dumb of me! I must've had a momentary brain cramp. Anyway thanks for responding, and I'm glad to see that Sophia is back, even in a limited capacity. •Jim62sch• 11:04, 26 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

CKB[edit]

Those wiki's just sort of don't seem to have much point since there's so few editors, and it would take so many to make it all look good :/. Homestarmy 12:39, 28 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

No, but relately is becoming an advertising farm, Nsandwich needs to close it down, random IP's keep adding in links to different articles trying to raise their google ranks and stuff. (though I haven't checked recently). Homestarmy 12:46, 29 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Really? Is Nsandwich going to close Relately? That's not fair! I have just designed a new layout ;(

O well, I will just put the page to the Main page on CKB. --inky 01:08, 2 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Took a long wikibreak ;)[edit]

Hello!

I took a long wikibreak from CKB/CW, and am refreshed and ready to do some work.

I just want to mention these points:

  • When you and Nsandwich are no longer active, keeping CW alive was a labour. Because both me and Hayson are rather on the developer side, no one pushes the content. Please please please stay on CW.
  • I am kind of offended by the big yellow cross logo. If you do love Jesus, then why would you set the thing that killed him as the logo, for the sake of declaring that "We are Christian!"? Maybe it's a JW thing.
  • BTW I am currently migrating from Windows XP to Linux. So I won't be on until I can access the internet via Linux. Which will take about few days. :)

Hello, I noticed that you edited an article related to, or expressed interest in Iowa. Therefore, I was wondering if you would be interested in joining (proposed) WikiProject Iowa? If so, please add your name to "Interested Wikipedians" at Proposed WikiProject Iowa --Tim4christ17 03:41, 5 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The WikiProject has been created. Feel free to join it at Wikipedia:WikiProject Iowa.

Wow - us scientists can be just as dogmatic as any religious convert. I can see why it can come across as a belief system. I'm off to Mars. Sophia 07:16, 8 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
