Amazon obhijaan

Hello Arjayay, I wanted to make it clear that the budget of movie 'amazon obhijaan' is 20 crores, and it was not dubbed into tamil(only 3 languages odia, telugu and hindi). Please check it once. Sasianeel (talk) 16:21, 13 March 2018 (UTC)

Hey sorry, it's 25 crores;Check it. Waiting for reply Sasianeel (talk) 16:34, 13 March 2018 (UTC)

(edit conflict) Sasianeel - Your actual edit here does not agree with your statement above:
  1. rather than "make it clear that the budget of movie 'amazon obhijaan' is 20 crores" you changed it from 20 crore to 25 crore
  2. as for "it was not dubbed into tamil(only 3 languages odia, telugu and hindi)" you left the statement "five languages" deleted Tamil, but left Hindi, Telugu, Odia and Assamese.
I have since changed the reference for budget, as the previous source is not on the WP:ICTFSOURCES list. to one which is on that list.
As for the dubbing, please provide a WP:RS, stating which languages it was dubbed into, before changing it again, as your change was unsourced. Please also make sure the number stated is the same as the number of languages listed. - Thank you - Arjayay (talk) 16:36, 13 March 2018 (UTC)

No, earlier it's announced to be dubbed and released in tamil and Assamese along with other three. But they didn't. And the budget is 25 crores( highest budget movie in Bengali) check it Sasianeel (talk) 16:41, 13 March 2018 (UTC)

Can I change it? Sasianeel (talk) 16:47, 13 March 2018 (UTC)

Sasianeel - NO.
As I have stated above, you need to cite a reliable source stating which languages it was released in, if that was different from the cited source.
As also stated above, the source now being used for the budget is on the WP:ICTFSOURCES list and states 20 crore, so that is what the article states - the previous source was not reliable
Looking at your user-page history, you have had numerous warnings for unsourced changes and edit-warring, and a block for edit-warring. Unless you learn how to cite reliable sources you are likely to be blocked again. - Arjayay (talk) 16:56, 13 March 2018 (UTC)

Sir, I can't provide all those stuff, but I have a clear knowledge about Bengali films. if you want any source regarding budget check 'most expensive Bengali films'. Sasianeel (talk) 17:03, 13 March 2018 (UTC)

And no need to be rude, I just explained you and asked for permission. I am not getting a penny for my edits. I just edit, if I felt something is wrong or missing. If your guys don't want me to do the stuff then I will leave it. OK. Sasianeel (talk) 17:11, 13 March 2018 (UTC)

Sasianeel - I am not being rude, just trying to explain the rules, but you don't seem to be listening, as can be seen on your talk page, where you claim "I only edit grammatical mistakes".
Wikipedia has no interest whatsoever in what you, I, or any other editor, "knows"
Wikipedia is ONLY interested in what reliable sources have already stated, and these sources need to be cited to support any information you wish to add, or change.
As I said above " Unless you learn how to cite reliable sources you are likely to be blocked again." - Arjayay (talk) 17:17, 13 March 2018 (UTC)

Hi Arjay, I saw your note about "The Bad Seed" (1985) I went back and revised what I wrote. Information icon Hello. Regarding the recent revert you made to Velaikkaran (2017 film): you may already know about them, but you might find Wikipedia:Template messages/User talk namespace useful. After a revert, these can be placed on the user's talk page to let them know you considered their edit inappropriate, and also direct new users towards the sandbox. They can also be used to give a stern warning to a vandal when they've been previously warned. Thank you. Kirbanzo (talk) 15:53, 15 March 2018 (UTC)

Havering Musuem

Would you kindly stop removing the additions I make to the Museum. Mainly the large block of text. I work for the Musuem so there’s is no reason why this should be deleted Adam Meleady (talk) 15:53, 17 March 2018 (UTC)

No - will you kindly STOP adding totally unsourced information to our article - you will be blocked if you continue.
You also have a Conflict of interest so should not be editing the article, in any case, and if you are paid by the museum you are in breach of Wikipedia's terms of use, as you need to make a WP:PAID declaration before making any more edits. - Arjayay (talk) 16:01, 17 March 2018 (UTC)

Havering Musuem

First of all none of this is paid its a volunteer lead Museum. Secondly none of this unsourced all of this is easily findable online Adam Meleady (talk) 16:06, 17 March 2018 (UTC)

Adam Meleady - It is all unsourced - it is not up to the reader to find the information, the Responsibility for providing citations is upon whoever adds the information to provide the references, which need to be properly formatted. As it stands, the whole of the article could be deleted as it is entirely unsourced. - Arjayay (talk) 16:13, 17 March 2018 (UTC)

D Roopa

Hi there, I want to create page with the name D Roopa. The thing is this page was created by somebody in July 2016, but this was deleted soon after the creation due to some reasons. It seems to me that this page was deleted as there were no much credible sources or references were available on the internet at that point of time and also this person was not so popular too at that point of time. This person, who is a very brave and honest woman IPS officer in India, was suddenly in the news all over India in July 2017, as she did a commendable job by earthing the irregularities at jails and she became very popular after that incident. When i created this page in August 2017 with the same name and with all credible sources and references, this page again got speedy deleted and it was showing the old page (july 2016) as a reason for deletion. The fact is I was not aware of its earlier deletion before creating this page. Please help me to retrieve the page or creating the new page.

Kiranmadhu.e (talk) 15:52, 20 March 2018 (UTC)

i Kiranmadhu.e - I don't know why you have asked me, as I am not an Admin and I can't see the deleted page.
D Roopa has been deleted 3 times (click the redlink for details).
As you can see the last deletion was on 3 September 2017 when Anthony Appleyard deleted page D Roopa (G11: Unambiguous advertising or promotion).
First off, assuming that was the article you wrote, you need to speak to the deleting admin, Anthony Appleyard, to see of he is willing to refund the article. However, given that it was deleted for being "Unambiguous advertising or promotion" I suspect he may not - it depends if there was any content that was not "advertising or promotion" that is worth restoring.
If not, or even if he is, I suggest you follow the WP:Articles for creation process, using the Wikipedia:Article wizard which means that the article will be checked by an experienced editor before it is made "live", enabling you to correct any problems and thus significantly reducing the chances of it being deleted again.
Sorry I can't help futher - Arjayay (talk) 16:09, 20 March 2018 (UTC)

To leave note on talk page or not?

Hi, you seem more experienced than I am. Special:Contributions/2001:8003:603F:5B00:942E:8C0F:54C5:7DD8 has made two edits which I would consider vandalism, while using a misleading edit summary to pretend that it's not. Should he be warned?

Egroeg5 (talk) 01:43, 21 March 2018 (UTC)

Hi Egroeg5 That page has a slightly messy history, but yes, The IP should have been warned for both edits - Cluebot warned them for the first, but the second added a deliberate error - changing France to Russia - as well as the duplicated material. Although they have not edited since their two edits on 16 March, and may never use that IP again, a level 2 warning would be justified. In case you do not know, the main list of warnings can be found at WP:WARN - Arjayay (talk) 09:24, 21 March 2018 (UTC)

Post by User:Venkateshhsgowda

What is wrong in that sir? Venkateshhsgowda (talk) 15:02, 21 March 2018 (UTC)

Hi Venkateshhsgowda
Firstly. Please put new posts at the bottom of a talk page, not in the middle, and start with a section title, click "Add topic" at the top if you don't know how to do this.
I don't know which of your edits you are referring to, when you say "What is wrong in that" but I can see problems with all of them.
Lists of Notable people, should only include the names of people with their own Wikipedia article
You obviously do not understand Categories and category pages, but these are filled up automatically, not manually, and once set-up the pages should not be edited - other than by editors who understand Category pages.
You are obviously keen, but all of your edits to date have been reverted, as they were not constructive.
Can I suggest you take an hour to follow WP:The Wikipedia Adventure which will hopefully explain the basics. - Arjayay (talk) 15:19, 21 March 2018 (UTC)

Need cooperation about the Ukrah or Nagarukhra article renaming.

Hey Arjayay, actually I'm looking for your cooperation about Ukrah or Nagarukhra Wikipedia article. Please, edit the name of this page & rename it only Nagarukhra, not Ukrah or Nagarukhra. (Because Nagarukhra is the proper name of the Area. Ukrah just a small suburban colony of Nagarukhra. You can search in google map or openstreet map as Nagarukhra.) (Thank you)Iamakashnathsarkar (talk) 05:28, 22 March 2018 (UTC)

I'm sorry Iamakashnathsarkar, we have been through this far too many times already, with you and other editors, several of whom have been indefinitely blocked. I suspect the only way the article will be renamed, is if the 2021 census uses Nagarukhra instead of Ukrah. - Arjayay (talk) 13:20, 22 March 2018 (UTC)

Jesse Waugh AfD

Hi, I’m writing to ask if you might be willing to contribute a vote on the Articles for Deletion page for Jesse Waugh. The vote already took place based on the article’s current sources, but certain people seem to be determined to get it deleted. Thanks either way. 81.44.32.50 (talk) 06:59, 22 March 2018 (UTC)

Hello IP from Sitges - Articles for deletion discussions are not "votes", but discussions of compliance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Your time would be better spent finding more sources, rather than canvassing editors. I see you have removed your suggestion of which way I should vote, which clearly breached WP:CANVASS.
I know nothing about Jesse Waugh - my one edit to the article was whilst patrolling recent changes, when I reverted a massive deletion as it appeared to be vandalism. - Arjayay (talk) 13:35, 22 March 2018 (UTC)

No harm no foul

You are fast :) I was just going to fix that revert but you beat me to it. --Muhandes (talk) 18:24, 24 March 2018 (UTC) Anyway, if it wasn't clear, my bad, I reverted the wrong edit, then you beat me before I managed to correct it and had an edit conflict, all should be fine now. --Muhandes (talk) 18:27, 24 March 2018 (UTC)

Hi Muhandes - No worries - we all get a bit trigger happy now and then - but thanks to the wonders of "revert", it rarely causes any lasting damage - Best wishes - Arjayay (talk) 19:02, 24 March 2018 (UTC)

Spelling thanks

Arjayay, thanks for fixing my misspelled "recieved" to "received". I have been struggling with that all my life (decades). Nick Beeson (talk) 11:18, 26 March 2018 (UTC)

Hi Nick Beeson thanks for the thanks.
I before E except after C is the worst spelling "rule" as there are so many exceptions, it is almost useless - but in general, those sounding like "a" - weigh, foreign, vein - break the first half of the rule, and those sounding like "eee" comply with the second half.
What I don't understand is why so many editors turn off their spellchecker ....? - Arjayay (talk) 11:56, 26 March 2018 (UTC)

Bhojpuri films sock farm

Did you work on the Bhojpuri film sockfarms? I blocked Bhushan Kumar and Devendraaa as obviously connected to each other but wondering if I'm missing the earlier farm. Right now only that Braj Bhasha film sockfarm (Jschauhan) comes to mind! cheers. —SpacemanSpiff 13:12, 27 March 2018 (UTC)

Hi SpacemanSpiff - sorry, I've not dealt with those, (I'm probably not sorry, just relieved) although Manoz or Manoj socks have been messing up lots of other Indian film genres e.g. as अ आ (see User:अ आ for "proof" that it is him) - probably in frustration that Brijwood, Brajwood, BrajBhasha cinema and his other usual targets are either salted or under close observation. - Arjayay (talk) 13:24, 27 March 2018 (UTC)

A TASTE OF HONEY

I was surprised that you deleted the Esther Ofarim reference from the page on "A taste of honey". The collaborations between Esther Ofarim and Bobby Scott are well known to aficionados of Bobby Scott and his works. The recordings were conducted by Bobby Scott himself and are, apparently, something of which he was particularly proud. (see https://www.forcedexposure.com/Catalog/ofarim-esther-esther-ofarim-in-new-york-with-bobby-scott-and-his-orch-cd/BB.004CD.html). The recordings may not have charted well in the US or UK but may be of interest to those researching available recordings of the song. The Ofarim recording is certainly as relevant as the other recordings you cite.Tnog (talk) 13:35, 5 April 2018 (UTC) The availability of the CD is a simple statement of fact, which can be checked by a couple of clicks on Google or AMAZON.Tnog (talk) 13:39, 5 April 2018 (UTC)

Hi Tnog Thanks for your post.
As explained in my edit summary, I deleted it as per WP:COVERSONG (you did not include a reference either, so WP:V would also apply).
You need to show that "the rendition is discussed by a reliable source on the subject of the song" or "the rendition itself meets the notability requirement at WP:NSONGS" either of these options requires sourcing, and simply existing does not make a cover of a song notable. Some songs have had numerous covers and our articles would be over-run if we just listed them all - see White Christmas (song) for the sort of coverage we would like - although even that is not very good.
Finally, please do not keep re-editing your post - it made replying to it very difficult, as I kept getting edit conflicts - Thanks - Arjayay (talk) 14:03, 5 April 2018 (UTC)

As for Talk:Northern Ireland, I see vast screeds of inconclusive discussion, but no consensus; hence the agreed second line of the article lead, which is "variously described as a country, province or region". - Thanks - Arjayay (talk) 15:04, 6 April 2018 (UTC)
Either way describing Northern Ireland as a country is very biased and politically motivated. There's a reason Northern Ireland is not refered to as country anywhere in that article.Sokopoko (talk) 15:06, 6 April 2018 (UTC)

Why to remove the संभाजी

Recently you undid a revision of mine which added name Sambhaji in Marathi.

It's just a name in native language of a hero. What's wrong with that?

Many pages do the same. For instance: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aurangzeb https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ravana

Canowindra

I know Wp is not about social engineering but I don't see how your edit removing some locally notable past residents added to the usefulness of the article. The policy you applied I believe was intended to kill off endless lists for large towns not to knock on the head mentions of folks who might engender civic pride and engagement in a populace of a tiny town that is suffering acutely from drought and economic travails. TBH John Grant, an original settler, for example would be of more relevance to list and of more interest to anybody who actually uses Wp for information (as opposed to displays of bureaucratic niceties) than some of the politicians from the town who score a Wp article. Please don't bother responding at least not on my talk page. I really don't care what someone in ye olde UK thinks. Silent Billy (talk) 06:31, 11 April 2018 (UTC)

Note for the archive, as the editor doesn't want a response - the edit was "Rm additions without articles as WP:Settlement - "Include ONLY people with a Wikipedia article"" - Arjayay (talk) 09:25, 11 April 2018 (UTC)

Rangasthalam has 177 cr gross

Check ibtimes and timesofindia .... There are many reliable sources which show Rangasthalam crossed 175 cr gross. The film producers themselves made a poster about it. So don't edit all the time.... Freewebstennis (talk) 11:48, 20 April 2018 (UTC)

Hi Freewebstennis you need to cite a reliable source - not one that says "The buzz is that the film grossed over 177 crore now" when the following days actual figures, from the same source, only show 106.43 crore. - Arjayay (talk) 11:53, 20 April 2018 (UTC)

Danstarr69 - this is no different to "Great Expectations is the thirteenth novel by Charles Dickens" it was serialized 1860-1861, then printed as a book, but copies still exist.
Complete DVD collections of Brookside are available, and Channel 4 still show the occasional old episode, so it still exists. - Arjayay (talk) 11:33, 4 April 2018 (UTC)
Late to the discussion but adding a rule of thumb... If Brookside was a soap, or Great Expectations was a book—ask yourself, "What instead are they now?" Usually, you realise that Brookside is still a soap and Great Expectations is still a book. Neil S. Walker (talk) 10:06, 26 April 2018 (UTC)

Hi would you mind deleting the "dating sentence" on Angela and Jennifer chun's article? even though i am not chun's brand manager, editors here keep deleting my writings. it would be very nice if you can delete it. thank you very much ! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Yjeon8 (talkcontribs) 14:40, 8 May 2018 (UTC)

No Yjeon8, I do not think that statement should be removed. The Independent is a reliable source, and the facts stated in that newspaper article are, IMHO, not presented in an WP:UNDUE manner in our article. If wish to discuss this, please start your discussion at Talk:Angela and Jennifer Chun. If you simply continue removing this information, you are likely to be blocked for edit-warring. - Arjayay (talk) 14:49, 8 May 2018 (UTC)

Shubham22 Please do not add posts in different places, in the middle of a page, but put them at the bottom, with a relevant title, and note I am not an Admin.
With regard to your deletion, the 1947 Jammu massacres are an important part of the history of Jammu, and we need to explain why the significant Muslim population, of 37 per cent in the 1941 census, fell to less than 10% within 20 years. This is an intrinsic part of the history of Jammu, and we do not "whitewash" our articles to try and hide history, however unpalatable that history may have been,
I note that this is not the first time you have tried to delete this information, you also tried on 12 December 2017 as seen here. Please do not delete this again - Thank you - Arjayay (talk) 18:34, 10 May 2018 (UTC)

Asaram

Arjayay,y are you not letting me write the truth. This is beyond my common sense.

IP - It clearly states "In 2018, Asaram was found guilty of rape of a minor girl" in the third sentence - we do not need that repeated in the first, especially as you are removing what he was originally better known as - "a religious leader (Godman)" - Arjayay (talk) 14:23, 11 May 2018 (UTC)
Please note that an admin has removed both your edits from the page history as (RD2: Serious BLP violations), so this is not just my opinion - Arjayay (talk) 16:07, 11 May 2018 (UTC)

Abercynon

Abercynon notable Captain Owen Charles Morris DSO. Can I refer you to two internet articles on him. 1. Abercynon History Blogg, and 2. Zamalek - A Rescue Ship in World War 2 Murdo Morrison. Nevin Williams. FAO Arjayay Nevantwil (talk) 18:15, 19 May 2018 (UTC)

Hi Nevantwil
WP:Settlement is quite specific "Include ONLY people with a Wikipedia article", so, without an article Captain Morris cannot be added to the Abercynon article.
However, as you obviously think he is notable enough for his own article, then Write the article first - once your article has been accepted he can then be added.
For adivice on writing the article, please see WP:Your first article but please note that blogs and other self-published sources are NOT acceptable as references, as they are not reliable sources - Thanks - Arjayay (talk) 18:27, 19 May 2018 (UTC)
Nevantwil - Just as an afterthought, before starting your article, I suggest you read Wikipedia:WikiProject Military history/Notability guide to be sure that Captain Morris meets those specific notability requirements - if he doesn't, the article is likely to be deleted as "non-notable" and you will have wasted your time writing the article - Arjayay (talk) 18:35, 19 May 2018 (UTC)

I have done valid corrections. The surname is shared by both Nepalese and Indians. Kindly check go through research Karanduke99 (talk) 16:06, 26 May 2018 (UTC)

Karki is also a surname among Kumaoni Rajputs Karanduke99 (talk) 16:07, 26 May 2018 (UTC)

Karanduke99 there is no point in claiming that your changes are "valid", you MUST cite a WP:Reliable source so that all readers can check that what you have added is true. Please see WP:V for the rules and Help:Referencing for beginners for how to add such citations. - Arjayay (talk) 16:16, 26 May 2018 (UTC)

Morgan House, Kalimpong

I do not agree that the testimonials are for advertisement.

These are not mere testimonials of normal people but luminaries of Indian and Bengali cinemas going back decades and adds to the historic nature of this Building.

I request you to revert back the changes. Subhrajyoti07 (talk) 16:59, 26 May 2018 (UTC)

No Subhrajyoti07 - It is not only me that thinks they are promotional, as I was not the first to delete them.
I note that of your 267 edits to our articles, over half (138) are to the Morgan House, Kalimpong article - do you have a WP:Conflict of interest? - Arjayay (talk) 17:06, 26 May 2018 (UTC)

No I do not have any sort of association with this property - commercial or otherwise. I went to this place as a tourist and stayed for three days in 2017 and fell in love with the natural beauty and history of the place. I searched and did not find any article in Wikipedia and hence created the same. I felt that the testimonials have a emotional connect with the local people who visits this place. This place is actually owned and managed by local government department. Subhrajyoti07 (talk) 17:12, 26 May 2018 (UTC)

Okay. Where can I show you that. I have my Vanshavali and I can show that I'm an Indian Karki. And I have nothing to do with Nepal. Karanduke99 (talk) 07:51, 27 May 2018 (UTC)

Hi Karanduke99 - I assume this relates to Karki (surname)?
We are not interested in one individual case, but the general situation - you need to provide a reliable, independent, source that clearly supports your claim that "Karkis are Rajput / Chhetri in Nepal and India (Uttarakhand)." This citation needs to be formatted as explained at Help:Referencing for beginners.
Claims of caste can be particularly difficult to verify as much of the "information" is written by people trying to promote that caste, so is not reliable or independent. Please also note that "Raj" sources on castes are not considered reliable. - Arjayay (talk) 08:05, 27 May 2018 (UTC)

Okay. Ill provide you such a proof that shows that karkis of Uttarakhand are 100% Indians and are Rajputs by caste. Just tell me where I can do that. Btw. Just refer to Chhetri Wikipedia. They've mentioned Chhetris as Khas/pahadi Rajputs. Karanduke99 (talk) 09:49, 27 May 2018 (UTC)

Karanduke99 Wikipedia is NOT a Reliable source - nor are any user-generated sites - as explained above, you need to provide a reliable, independent, source. - Arjayay (talk) 10:12, 27 May 2018 (UTC)

Change.

Give me a link where I can show it. It's not a wiki page but authentic proof of many karkis residing in Uttarakhand along with Chands, pals, kunwars and Ranas who are from Kumaon and Garhwal and have no links with Nepal Karanduke99 (talk) 15:23, 27 May 2018 (UTC)

I mistakenly asked you to be blocked as a vandal!

When I reverted this bit of vandalism, due to a copy/paste error, when I reported the vandalism over at WP:AIV, I accidentally pasted your username instead of the vandal's. Fortunately, the admin who processed it looked at the diff I provided and correctly temp-blocked the vandal rather than you.

I do apologize for that, though. TJRC (talk) 02:23, 5 June 2018 (UTC)

No, you can't "do what you want" - you keep adding unsourced claims, adding fancruft and making other non-neutral point of view changes to articles such as Madhubala - which is totally against Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. This is why the Madhubala article was semi-protected, specifically to stop you doing this.
You have now moved on to other articles such as Shakila (actress) and repeated similar unsourced additions there, so they had to be removed.
Your unsourced additions should be deleted by any responsible editor, wherever you make them, as WP:Verifiability is one of the core policies of Wikipedia. - Arjayay (talk) 11:05, 18 June 2018 (UTC)

Dear Arjayay, I just have a small request. I started translating some german articels, that were not in enwiki. But since I'm not a native speaker, I wanted to request you to have a look over the translation to correct misspelling and grammar mistakes and so on. If a new one is done, I would tell you at this page. Is this possible for you? Thanks -- Karla1936 (talk) 08:35, 20 June 2018 (UTC) Karla1936 (talk) 08:35, 20 June 2018 (UTC)

Hi Karla1936 - thanks for your post. It would depend on the subject matter of the article(s) - if it is general in nature, and I have some spare time, then I will consider it; However, if it is a specialist or technical subject, which uses non-standard words, or complex concepts, I will probably pass. Try me when you have one ready - Arjayay (talk) 12:08, 20 June 2018 (UTC)
Hi, thank you. like the user:PaFra, who edits mostly german articles about islam is trying to use simple language, it would be in the translation as well. There are not many special words, and if one occured it is linkend and explained... I will leave a topic linked to the article which is new, when I'm done with some new. Oakwood Friends School

Dear Sir please refrain from editing the Oakwood Friends School page's title of Distinguished Alumni - it is the preferred term rather than notable, it is such a minor difference that I ask you to respect this. Thank you. MattVoorhees15 (talk) 14:40, 21 June 2018 (UTC) MattVoorhees15

I am in full alignment with Wikipedia's rules - while you seem to be quite knowledgeable in a great many subjects, this is not one of them and further request that you cease your unneeded edits on the page. MattVoorhees15 (talk) 14:44, 21 June 2018 (UTC) MattVoorhees15

(edit conflict) MattVoorhees15 - No, it is NOT the "preferred term". As already explained the article comes under Wikipedia:WikiProject Schools/Article guidelines which uses the term "Notable alumni". This is the standard section title which should be used in all our schools articles, to ensure consistency. The term "Notable" has specific meanings on Wikipedia, which is why it is used.
Please try to understand, Oakwood Friends School is Wikipedia's article about the school, NOT the school's article, and what the school wishes to call their alumni is immaterial. If you are asking for "respect" then please "respect" our guidelines - a reinstatement of Distinguished is likely to be changed by any experienced editors who visit the page, as it is not our standard term. - Arjayay (talk) 14:52, 21 June 2018 (UTC)
(edit conflict) Arjayay (talk) - I think there is a language barrier here as I see you are not from the area. It is not the school's article rather an article about the school. It no where states in the rules that the word Distinguished is not allowed. The page went ten years with it without issue. Myself and another editor who I do not know and who lacks a page, have changed it to distinguished. You say "our standard term" but there is no our as you are independent from Wikipedia as all editors are. You can neither speak for anyone rather than yourself - it is your standard term. An opinion. Please cease your obsession, thank you MattVoorhees15 (talk) 15:08, 21 June 2018 (UTC) MattVoorhees15
You made at least one factual error in your claims about the history of the article. I think what Arjayay is saying is that the school and its representatives do not WP:OWN the article, and their desires have zero weight. Instead, we follow editorial guidelines and other standards that have been discussed and established here on wikipedia. "Distinguished" is a poorly defined and opinion of the school itself (WP:RS failure and WP:BOOSTERISM risk), whereas "notable" is very well defined and neutral by the WP:GNG and related guidelines. Also all the content is related to the company like about company, its achievements, their leaders, Operations. Request you to please provide reason of deletion as this is not an advertisement as we understand the quality of content to be published in Wikipedia, the content is all about the company only. Request you to please understand. for example please look at Mahindra & Mahindra. User:Ashray007 Ashray007 (talk) 05:43, 2 July 2018 (UTC)

No User:Ashray007, that content was blatantly promotional, so there is no point in saying it was "not an advertisement", and we don't include lengthy resumes of members of staff in our articles in any case. The phrase "shared on Wikipedia" seems to confirm that you have a conflict of interest, about which you have already been warned, but chosen to ignore. I note that User:Rajpal2 a brand new account reinserted the same material, in their first and only edit, which suggests that you are operating at least two accounts, User:Sonalika.wiki having already been blocked for making promotional additions.

Unsourced edits

Hello, it's Sreeveen. I don't know what the hell are you talking about. You say that i add unsourced edits in Wikipedias. What do you mean to say? Do you mean to say that i am not a good editor. Man, i am only 10 and you need to tell me what i am doing rather than warning me in that way. Before telling me something, ask Von De Leorde what the hell is he doing. Don't try to be over smart. Don't call yourself a responsible editor. You are no one to remove someone's edit without informing him or her. Next time, if you dare to remove my edits, you will have to pay for it. Hope you understand.

Sreeveen (talk) 09:33, 17 July 2018 (UTC)

Sreeveen - Please don't make person threats, like the one you have above, or you are likely to be blocked permanently.
As for your edits, one of Wikipedia's principles is verifiability - you need to cite reliable sources {not IMDB, fansites or blogs) to support the information you add. For information on how to cite references, please seeHelp:Referencing for beginners. Any information which is not sourced can/should be deleted. Please try to understand, it is not the deleting editor's responsibility to inform you, it is your responsibility to provide the references when you add things to our articles. - Thank you - Arjayay (talk) 12:42, 17 July 2018 (UTC)

Hi Abelmoschus Esculentus looks very likely, but it is not against the rules to edit logged in and logged out, providing the editor is not "gaming the system" - e.g. avoiding 3RR etc - Arjayay (talk) 13:21, 18 July 2018 (UTC)
Wait... Using multiple accounts to bypass 3RR is prohibited and both accounts will be blocked. The three-revert rule applies per person, not per account; reverts made by multiple accounts operated by one editor count together. ~ Abelmoschus Esculentus (talk to me) 13:26, 18 July 2018 (UTC)
Abelmoschus Esculentus - yes - that's why I said "providing the editor is not "gaming the system" - e.g. avoiding 3RR etc" - Arjayay (talk) 13:46, 18 July 2018 (UTC)

Re: Page Editing

Arjayay,

Why are you attempting to clean up articles regarding a sport you have no clue about. I am trying to update my local club's Wikipedia entry and you delete it without even a second thought?

Sources that you are looking for in regards to the club are simply not available online, I am quoting directly from the club's history books. It is after all, a local club.

How are small clubs supposed to ever update their pages with 'admins' such as yourself constantly deleting information based on entirely nothing?

I implore you to restore the edit, as it was originally placed.

If not, whatever. We're done here. Enjoy your fake power. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2001:BB6:9308:C158:4C49:8286:E60D:EBC4 (talk) 15:49, 19 July 2018 (UTC)

Hello IP from Ireland - I assume you are talking about Ballymote GAA - I accepted that your edits were made in "good faith" when deleting them.
Wikipedia has several basic principles, including WP:Verifiability - that all information should be verifiable from reliable, published sources. The information does not need to be on-line, but it does need to be published, by a reliable publisher with a reputation for fact-checking, not the organization itself. Local newspapers are often used to provide citations for local organisations, although their reliability is sometimes questioned, whilst local history books can also be used.
Without such sources, we have no idea whether the "information" is true, or not. I appreciate this is difficult for many small organisations, but these rules apply across the whole of Wikipedia, - Arjayay (talk) 16:01, 19 July 2018 (UTC)

Arjayay,

Did you even read the excerpt you deleted? Most of the information is from the late 19th, early 20th centuries. If you can find local sources for that information more power to you. This is a disgrace, if you wish to keep this site UP TO DATE then allow people to provide information about things you know nothing about, and if there is a complaint then remove it. Don't quote sitewide rules when they cannot possibly be applied in any sense of the word based on this particular edit. I suggest you allow IRISH contributors to make a judgement on an IRISH information page edit, rather than quoting a company line and deleting information for the sake of it. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2001:BB6:9308:C158:4C49:8286:E60D:EBC4 (talk) 16:49, 19 July 2018 (UTC)

Unfortunately, you have a common misunderstanding about who "should" edit which articles. As you say this is your club, you appear to have a conflict of interest, so it is you who should not be editing the article in any case.
Wikipedia is not interested in where editors are from, what they "know", or what they have been told; it is only interested in what Independent, Reliable Sources have already written about the subject. It is, actually, much easier for an editor without any "insider knowledge" to present that information, from a Neutral point of view, as they only use the verifiable information, without unsourced embellishments.
As for your statement "Don't quote sitewide rules" - that is precisely what they are, sitewide rules, which govern all our articles. - Arjayay (talk) 17:16, 19 July 2018 (UTC)

What happened to first hand information, handed from club historians - you are blinded by these 'rules' and apply them ridiculously when you know this is not possible in this case. Who is going to update the page then - you? Ok, what can you tell me about the club from 1886 to present day? Conflict of interest... LOL. I'm merely trying to provide Wikipedia, and as a result the wider platform that views the site - information on the club. I live in the locale, but again here you go presuming. It is not MY club, it is a voluntary, community based organisation in Ireland that I happen to have a strong interest in. I would in fact say I'm the PERFECT candidate to edit the page. And HA! Reliable information on Wikipedia? You really have a high opinion of yourself to go with that condescending attitude don't you. Again, I ask you to READ the edit you removed. Where are these 'embellishments' that you claim. It is a first hand, factual history of the club that was clearly lacking. But seeing as you want to hide behind rules and not make any sort of exception, I'm not going to waste any more time on this. I'll be back with sources to back up my facts, and then I'll be here to rub your arrogant face in it. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2001:BB6:9308:C158:4C49:8286:E60D:EBC4 (talk) 17:28, 19 July 2018 (UTC)
