A tag has been placed on User:Arkhaminsanity, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to have no meaningful content or history, and the text is unsalvageably incoherent. If the page you created was a test, please use the sandbox for any other experiments you would like to do.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Contested deletion[edit]

This page should not be speedily deleted because... (I only realized how weird it looked after the notice.I was actually trying to put in a picture that i had converted to ascii art. If i am needed to 'improve' my user page , I am willing to comply with it.) --Arkhaminsanity (talk) 07:48, 14 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Please note, that Wikipedia user pages "are useful for organizing and aiding the work users do on Wikipedia, and facilitating interaction and sharing between users" and are not meant to be your social media page. FriyMan (talk) 07:54, 14 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I fully understand that. I will comply with your advice. Is it possible to remove the notice now that i have changed the page? -Arkhaminsanity (talk) 07:57, 14 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion flag has been removed from your user page, because you have fixed it. Please remember to follow userpage guidelines (WP:UP)FriyMan (talk) 07:58, 14 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Service awards.[edit]

Dear Arkhaminsanity, I see, that you put up a few service awards. I am not exactly sure, that they actually show the amount of edits you made and time you spent on Wikipedia. Please consider removing them and putting the right award in. Sincerely, FriyMan talk 20:44, 15 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Erm alright. I did metion that it was what I strive to be? I guess it was confusing.

Arkhaminsanity (talk) 10:40, 16 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Since you have not found the time to do so, I have; but, please, you may find my edit-summary helpful  :) cheers, O Fortuna!...Imperatrix mundi. 19:28, 18 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

ASCII art[edit]

I hope you don't me popping up like this - I stumbled across your previous user page and reproduced the ASCII art out of curiosity. It looks like a sign post, with an arrow pointing left, bushes behind, but I can't make out the detail. What was it originally? Mortee (talk) 07:34, 16 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

It was actually a picture of me. However, the avoid at didn't fit the page properly, hence it looks weird Arkhaminsanity (talk) 10:41, 16 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome[edit]

Hello, Arkhaminsanity and welcome to Wikipedia! It appears you are participating in a class project. If you haven't done so already, we encourage you to go through our training for students. Go through our online training for students

If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{Help me}} before the question. Please also read this helpful advice for students.

Before you create an article, make sure you understand what kind of articles are accepted here. Remember: Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, and while many topics are encyclopedic, some things are not.

Your instructor or professor may wish to set up a course page, and if your class doesn't already have one please tell your instructor about that. It is highly recommended that you place this text: {{Educational assignment}} on the talk page of any articles you are working on as part of your Wikipedia-related course assignment. This will let other editors know this article is a subject of an educational assignment and aid your communication with them.

We hope you like it here and encourage you to stay even after your assignment is finished! Arkhaminsanity (talk) 12:21, 19 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

  • Welcome, indeed, Arkhaminsanity; but FYI I have removed some copyrighted and misleading material from your talk- and user-pages respectively. Please take a moment to read WP:C and WP:UP. Happy editing :) O Fortuna!...Imperatrix mundi. 12:55, 19 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Caution: high speed editing of wikipedia[edit]

@Arkhaminsanity: I have reverted your absurd mass revert at Guru Ram Das, as it seems you are busy with high speed deletion of content. You could not possibly have checked the numerous new sources cited in the article in few minute between your edits at 17:32, 19 January 2017 and at 17:35, 19 January 2017. Please do not make such edits, do assume good faith, do attempt to verify content and stop disrupting wikipedia. Ms Sarah Welch (talk) 17:43, 19 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Yikes! I have to apologize for that. I honestly didn't see the citations Arkhaminsanity (talk) 17:45, 19 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

If you don't see a citation, and the citation's there in plain sight, you're probably not taking enough time to look. Slow down, please, and read carefully before you edit - see this reversion of your reversion at Fentanyl. Haploidavey (talk) 18:12, 19 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

National Union of Ghana Students[edit]

Thank you for deleting the unattributed purple prose from National Union of Ghana Students. However, this does not excuse your completely unnecessary subsequent speedy deletion. Perhaps you should consider taking it easy for a while . . . Leutha (talk) 21:43, 19 January 2017 (UTC) Alrighty.. Sorry bout that Arkhaminsanity (talk) 03:07, 20 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Roberto Costello[edit]

I think that you were right in saying that it was a copy from the web site. If an article is copied from a web site, we don't need to go through AFD because G12 for copyright violation will do. Maybe no one else on the Internet takes copyright seriously, but Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously, even to the point where you can't violate your own copyright unless you have released it under copyleft, and most web sites don't want to do a general release. Thank you Senpai for acknowledging my work! As an auto confirmed user I'm restricted to what action I can take. Arkhaminsanity (talk) 16:54, 30 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, Arkhaminsanity on that note, I'd also like to ask that you not remove speedies in favor of AfD for clear copyvios. In the end it was speedily deleted anyway but it's important to keep the tags unless it does not meet CSD. Thanks! Chrissymad ❯❯❯ ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ 16:56, 30 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I did not mean to remove the existing notice, sorry for that.Arkhaminsanity (talk) 16:58, 30 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

No worries, @Arkhaminsanity:! Chrissymad ❯❯❯ ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ 17:01, 30 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I noticed you reverted my edit, but it's unclear to me what your reason was. I simply listed five species described in a scientific paper in 2012. Regards--188.146.15.8 (talk) 19:27, 1 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Declined speedy deletion nomination of Chaumukhi Mahadev[edit]

Hello Arkhaminsanity. Speedy deletion work is important and I do appreciate the effort. I would just ask that you please review the criteria carefully because accuracy is also important. On that issue, I have declined your speedy deletion nomination of Chaumukhi Mahadev as an article that does not credibly indicate the importance or significance of the topic under CSD A7. That criterion did not apply because the article was about a temple, and A7 only applies to articles on real persons or groups, individual animals, organizations, web content and organized events. To expand, an RFC on this topic at the talk page for WP:CSD noted that if an article about a religious institution primarily focused on the building, or was more notable for the building than for the organization, it may be considered a building for the purpose of notability guidelines. Under this view, since the temple is clearly a historic building, A7 is out of scope. Appable (talk | contributions) 18:32, 2 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion declined: New Era Public School, Darbhanga[edit]

Hello Arkhaminsanity. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of New Era Public School, Darbhanga, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: Schools are not A7 eligible. Thank you. Primefac (talk) 14:49, 3 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

How do i adress the notability of this school then. Arkhaminsanity (talk) 16:21, 3 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion is only used in cases when there is community agreement that a full discussion can be bypassed entirely. Therefore, if there is something that you believe should be deleted but does not fit a specific deletion criterion, you have a few options. First read the alternatives to deletion, as merging or redirecting is far preferred to deletion if it's a legitimate option.
  • WP:PROD, if the deletion is likely uncontroversial. Note that in this case, any main contributor or article creator can decline the PROD.
  • WP:AFD, if it failed PROD or CSD and should be discussed. Things like notability concerns should be brought up here. Note that in this case, WP:SCHOOLOUTCOMES will almost certainly tell you the outcome already - it's highly unlikely for a school to actually be deleted on Wikipedia.
Let me know if you have any questions. Appable (talk | contributions) 21:11, 3 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Veeras Infotek CSD nomination  :)[edit]

Yo Arkhaminsanity. You did the opposite I said, I see. So your speedy nomination will be declined :) I suggested A7 and G11. You proposed G4. Now, that's 'Recreation of a page that was deleted per a deletion discussion.' The important word there is- 'discussion.' In other words, because it was deleted previously under a speedy nomination, there was no 'discussion' (it means a community didcussion, like WP:AFD). Also, G12 is for WP:COPYVIOS, and this handy tool tells us there isn't a copyright violation. Just a little thing to remember- you don't have to find a different reason for deletion each separate time- if the article is the same as it was last eleted, then it falls under the same criteria. Take care! O Fortuna!...Imperatrix mundi. 09:52, 9 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I clicked on g12 by accident, I've also changed the proposal criteria as per your suggestions. Thnx for pointing it out. Arkhaminsanity (talk) 12:11, 9 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

help me pliss[edit]

I want to join the wp:CVUA but no free trainers are listed.

To me it seesm DatGuy lists an open spot. Other than that, you may have to wait: Trainers are volunteers too, and I expect the role takes quite a bit of time and effort. Huon (talk) 18:36, 10 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on File:Sasifrownsadlook.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the file appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted content borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

O Fortuna!...Imperatrix mundi. 17:47, 10 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

A copyright infringement? i've edited the picture on my own, so doesn't it constitute my work. I also hope this isn't a vandal warning or something. Arkhaminsanity (talk) 17:49, 10 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hey there! While I agree that YesiManadarina is a good candidate for speedy deletion, I would just like to note a couple things. First, please do not blank a page before nominating it for deletion (the only exception to that is an attack page). Second, the deletion criteria you chose weren't particularly accurate. WP:G1 does not apply to non-English content and WP:A3 does not apply to an article where you were the one who removed the content. I'd recommend reviewing Wikipedia:New pages patrol for a bit of guidance regarding looking at new pages. If I can be of any help, do let me know! Non-Dropframe talk 18:08, 10 February 2017 (UTC) I'll keep that in mind next time. Thank you though.[reply]

Notice

The file File:Bulbusaarammachy.jpg has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Personal photo uploaded for apparent vandalism ([1]), not really encyclopedically useful

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.

Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. ♠PMC(talk) 05:41, 6 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

File permission problem with File:Fazerainyoutube hello.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Fazerainyoutube hello.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{permission pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F11 of the criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. --Minorax«¦talk¦» 13:22, 10 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
