Hi, Ahunt. I actually though it's worth asking your advice on one thing. I tried to update Ryanair's page with a piece of information not mentioned on the page before I think a month ago or so, and was repeatedly blocked by one experienced editor, MilborneOne, who kept insisting on different arguments, say that the tone was undue (initially, I agreed) info was minor, that it wasn't widely reported, it looked to him like "piling on" with sources of allegedly minor importance, etc. I challenged all those points.

Long story short:

I did agree that my first couple of edits were not really fit for Wiki - this wasn't my first editorial experience on Wiki but was the first one on the subject - so, I took time to update it several times until it looked fair to me and also another experienced editor who said he didn't object to my last proposal, maybe with some minor rewording. But the thing is MilborneOne insisted several times that he objected it on a number of accounts, although eventually he came to suggesting a version he would agree with, but then never came back and keeps ignoring my requests currently. I did try to approach him recently on his page to no avail. I had to get a bit more detailed with some of my posts on the the article talk page discussion I opened because he would dismiss my proposals as, undue/unworthy etc. At one point I had to share a bit lengthy for Wiki(not sure though due to lack of experience) research on the topic to press what I believe to be a fact worth mentioning, internationally and locally widely reported and unprecedented for the time, all of which I showed. So, simply put, I don't really know what are the options at this point - to invoke what is called a third opinion, to report it, or to go and try to add the last version - a couple of sentences - that the other editor wasn't opposed to, but then chances are it'll get rejected again by MilborneOne. What would you advise to do?

Thanks for your note here. User:MilborneOne is a very longstanding aircraft/airline editor here on Wikipedia and also an administrator. I have been working with him here for 15 years and he does usually get things right. I have read though the talk page discussion there and it does seem to be progressing well to find a consensus at this point. This sort of back and forth is actually normal on Wikipedia, it is how we get the articles to look like they do and why we have the article quality that we do. It isn't a fast process and it can be frustrating, but with a bit of patience it does work. You might want to read WP:BRD to see how that works. - Ahunt (talk) 00:41, 22 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for you reply and the link, Ahunt. I read the article and will try to get in touch with MilborneOne, even though he seems to be ignoring me at this point and doesn't reply to my requests on his talk page. Maybe an option would also be to try to reach out to the other editor I mentioned in my last comment. Thanks for your feedback again.
