Assam Rifles page[edit]

Hi mate, I was just looking over the Assam Rifles page and noticed that you had removed an image as you felt it was of the Gurkha Rifles, rather than the Assam Rifles. Are you able to confirm this? I'm trying to fix this page - it has a few areas that need improvement and would like to add some pictures. I've added one now, which I'm fairly certain is Assam Rifles - (if you zoom in on it, you can see an 'ASSAM' shoulder flash on the eppaulettes). It is a different photo to the one you removed, however, there are some similarities that make me believe that the original may in fact actually have been an Assam Rifles photo. For instance - both pictures have the same colour patch on pagryi on the slouch hat, and both are wearing the same cloth tribal belt. Of course I freely admit to not being an expert, so I was hoping that you might have more knowledge on this than me and hence confirm or deny what I'm thinking. My understanding is that the Assam Rifles wear the same hats that the Gurkhas wear as a large amount of their manpower are in fact Gurkhas (in fact many regiments around the world wear similar headress - my regiment in Australia does too, although slightly different (it is not double sewn for instance)). Anyway, sorry for the long spiel, but if you could take a look at the Assam Rifles talk page I've put both photos for discussion and maybe together we can nut this one out. Cheers.
