Sunstones and Icelandic spars[edit]

Hello, ArniEin. Sorry to see your recent new article "Sunstone in Iceland" was proposed for deletion. I thought it was well-sourced and an encyclopedic topic, and that it seemed a sensible counterpart to the Iceland spar article. I removed the proposed deletion notice for that reason, so it could stay and develop further. The "Sunstone, medieval" page you created appears to duplicate it—if what you wanted was a different title for the article you could rename it, or I'm happy to on request.

Afterwards you blanked the page to indicate you wanted it to be deleted—possibly you felt upset or disappointed from a deletion notice being put on it? Perhaps you might reconsider. I think it could be a good addition to the encyclopedia. Best wishes, Whitehorse1. 01:58, 27 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

  • My, the admins here are fast! One has already responded to your page blank, taking it as a deletion request. If you decide you do want it to stay that needn't be an obstacle. It can be undeleted very easily, please just ask the admin who dealt with it on their talkpage, or feel free to ask me and I'll handle it for you. For what it's worth, I thought it had potential. Thanks, Whitehorse1. 02:05, 27 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

A second welcome[edit]

Hi! Glad to have you aboard :-D I see someone already welcomed you, and that SineBot already told you how to sign talk-page posts. I've done a little editing to your article and weighed in in the deletion discussion, but I'm all too aware of how bewildering things can be around here. The Missing Manual may help - or add me to the list of people to consider asking questions, in addition to the person who welcomed you. Yngvadottir (talk) 18:46, 27 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
