Hendrik Quast[edit]

Well, I didn't review the draft, I just removed it from article categories that it can't be in because drafts aren't allowed to be categorized as if they were finished articles.

When it comes to the sourcing, however, we don't have a rule that our sources have to be written in English, because (a) some people are able to read both English and German, and (b) even a person who can't read German can still run the text through Google Translate to get the basic gist of what the source says (even if the translation isn't perfect, it's still functionally adequate for most purposes.) So the problem isn't that the sources are in German — the problem is that they virtually all represent primary sourcing from entities directly affiliated with Hendrik Quast, and pretty much none of them are WP:GNG-worthy reliable sources that properly establish notability at all.

For example, you don't establish the notability of a performance artist by sourcing the article to his own website, or his "staff" profiles on the self-published websites of his own employers, or his directory entries on the self-published websites of galleries or festivals where he's had shows, or his "alumni" profiles on the self-published websites of the educational institutions where he's studied, or Q&A interviews in which he's talking about himself. To establish an artist as notable, what you need to show is evidence that the significance of his work has been independently analyzed and written about by third parties without a vested interest in the claims: newspaper or magazine art critics writing analytical reviews of his work, books writing about him and his work, and so forth.

What you have to show is that he's been a subject of media coverage, not just that he has directory profiles on the websites of entities he's been personally affiliated with. You're allowed to use German-language media, but the sources still have to represent coverage and analysis about him and his work by professional journalists and art critics and biographers, not just "staff"-type profiles self-created by galleries or organizations he's worked with.
