Project Help[edit]

Hello Artephius. I am a student in this graduate-level course. My project is to work to hopefully get an article to good article status, and I have chosen mTORC1 as my article. I am at the phase where I am supposed to elicit responses and found your user page under the molecular and cellular biology page. If you have any input to the article, that would be great. Unspecified source for Image:Mousaylaha1.JPG[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Mousaylaha1.JPG. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 19:26, 15 April 2008 (UTC). Diabetic cardiomyopathy[edit]

I just noticed your new article Diabetic cardiomyopathy. I have made some changes in the outline (to make it compliant with WP:MEDMOS) and have added a {{reflist}} tag and some categories. I think, though, that it is much too technical for the general audience and sounds more like it has been lifted from a medical journal.

I would recommend you simplify the content as much as possible. At the moment much of it seems to be referenced straight to primary research (e.g. J Biol Chem). I would suggest you stick to review articles or other secondary sources - as recommended by WP:MEDRS.

Could you also try to format the references according to {{cite journal}}? This template allows you to also link to various online article sources, such as PubMed, PubMed Central and DOI. JFW | T@lk 08:07, 25 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Ideally, Wikipedia should also be accessible to people below college level, but I agree that sometimes one needs to start of easy and then escalate. In the future just go ahead and do it, I've upgraded this to start class. As with all writing, we need to cite our sources. This tool makes this easy.
