Your revisions are nonsense:

+ Bolt has also been known to prohibit constant and repetitive abusive posters from posting on his blog, as he believes that they detract from the quality of the News Limited owned blog.

+ Bolt's blog covers a wide variety of topics, and posters are encouraged to not only use rational debate to discuss matters, but to entertain each other. Posters frequently post riddles and try to get the answers, or interact in a friendly way about a range of topics.

1/ Where is your evidence for the first claim? He censors opponents of his repetitive bashing, regardless of the articulate nature of such opposition or otherwise.

2/ Where is your evidence for the second claim? "Entertain each other" and "interact in a friendly way"?

Online forums around the globe are riddled with ignorant and short-sighted posters of any ideological persuasion, hence the appalling lack of factual citations and rational debate.

If you plan to revise the Bolt page, please keep the mind the startling shortcomings of the blog format and Bolt's barely disguised Right-wing obsessions. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ren ault16 (talkcontribs)

What a gracious and friendly welcome to Wikipedia that was!
For what it's worth, my impressions from occasionally reading the comments on one of Mr. Bolt's posts largely agree with yours and disagree with "Ren"'s. For instance, I seem to recall a "Moonbat Comment of the Week" award, which is a classic community-building technique. However, Wikipedia rules say that we should have a citeable, reliable source for such claims, and I suspect that it will be hard to find one. If Bolt has written something about what he is trying to do with the forum, maybe we could just quote that. (On the other hand, if he decides not to resume blogging this year, it won't matter.)
BTW, I get the impression that Bolt's techniques for dealing with hateful trolls seem to be adapted from parenting young children. What do you think? Cheers, CWC(talk) 07:21, 14 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
