Nanda Devi images

Hi there, welcome to Wikipedia! Thanks for adding images to the Nanda Devi article. These seem to be from within the Inner Sanctuary. I was just curious, did you take these yourself, as they are on Wikimedia Commons? If so, when? Hope you enjoy your time editing and contributing to Wikipedia. I went on a "treking permit" into the Sanctuary in pre-monsoon 1980 with a good friend who was a pro mtn guide (turned out to be a good choice for survival). We sent all our porters home after we setup basecamp below Changabang Gal! So we spent a month carrying our own loads and exploring the north sanctuary, then moved round to the south side advanced base camp where a supply dump supposedly left by our porters was not to be found, so we escaped back to village Lata on very short rations as the monsoon arrived. Check out my pics at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deo_Damla, we made an informal undocumented ascent. Enough yrs have gone by that it is safe to publish and wikipedia is the right place. I'm sorry I took only a https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pentax_Auto_110 (35 mm shots would be much better). Recently I had the best slides scanned at 4000dpi, so quite good images to upload. That's wonderful to hear! Please do feel free to add more images to articles that will benefit from them. Whenever you have time you could also look at this list, List of mountain peaks of Uttarakhand, or this category Category:Hiking trails in Uttarakhand to look for articles that might benefit from your image bank. I consider you lucky to have explored the Nanda Devi sanctuary. Would you have any idea about the latest situation? Is trekking allowed in the inner sanctuary these days? Where does one get the permit? I've been meaning to go trekking in the inner sanctuary for so long, but can't find any leads/guides/operators that might help.
