Speedy deletion nomination of Marjan van Aubel[edit]

A tag has been placed on Marjan van Aubel requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from http://www.marjanvanaubel.com/about/. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Asmund, I have "saved" the references and deleted the copyvio. You are welcome to rewrite the text now, using the references. If I were you I'd look for a good article/biography to model yours after--try to stay away from the resume format. Drm310, I saw your conversations with the editor. I am satisfied that there's no paid editing, though it's clear there is a COI--but that doesn't have to be a problem as long as the writing is neutral, and the person meets our guidelines (see WP:GNG and its subsections--I think she should be good). Asmund, I'm leaving the COI tag for now, as I'm sure you understand, and we can get rid of that if the article is neutral etc. Perhaps Yngvadottir, who is an article-writing genius, has a few tips for you as well. Paid editing[edit]

Hello Asmundsollihogda. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have a financial stake in promoting a topic, such as the edit you made to Marjan van Aubel. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially egregious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a black hat practice.
