License tagging for Image:TRL Lapel Pin.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:TRL Lapel Pin.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 21:15, 29 May 2007 (UTC)

TRL[edit]

Sorry for not replying sooner. The design (initials, words, flag, etc.) does suggest the Tariff Reform League, although I'm not an expert in this so I don't know for sure! Apologies that I could not be of more help.-Johnbull 22:19, 29 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of The Ashe[edit]

A tag has been placed on The Ashe requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. - Master Bigode from SRK.o//(Talk) (Contribs) 18:44, 12 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not sure how I got the info shown on the page. Butt actually gives the closure date for scheduled passenger services as 1 November 1954 and final closure on 7 October 1963.7

Francis Goodwin[edit]

Hi, disambiguation links belong at the very top of the page. Otherwise users might not see them. I didn't revert you because you were an i.p. just because the {for} link was misplaced. Let me know if you have different thoughts, thanks, Ocaasi (talk) 21:49, 2 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Please read Wikipedia:HNP and Wikipedia:DLINKS, which explain the policy. Ocaasi (talk) 21:53, 2 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Nigel. Thanks for your comments on my talk page about the Francis Goodwin article. As you may have deduced, I quite like creating this sort of thing. The only "problem" is that I have been "informed" that what I have done is not the accepted practice; a list "should" have a principal article about the subject, with a "See also" section taking the reader to the list-article. I have already done this with some of the lists I have created. I intend to deal with FG in this way soon. Cheers. --Peter I. Vardy (talk) 13:55, 27 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Your draft article, Sancja Szymkowiak[edit]

Hello Aspdin. It has been over six months since you last edited your WP:AFC draft article submission, entitled Sancja Szymkowiak.

Image copyright problem with File:Blessed Sancja Janina Szymkowiak, memorial at Poznan convent.jpg[edit]

Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading File:Blessed Sancja Janina Szymkowiak, memorial at Poznan convent.jpg.

This image is a derivative work, containing an "image within an image". Examples of such images would include a photograph of a sculpture, a scan of a magazine cover, or a screenshot of a computer game or movie. In each of these cases, the rights of the creator of the original image must be considered, as well as those of the creator of the derivative work.

While the image description page states the source and copyright status of the derivative work, it only names the creator of the original work without specifying the status of their copyright over the work.

Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the original image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other derivative works, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. Thanks again for your cooperation. — Ирука13 17:13, 21 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
