Notability/deletion

If TalkToTheWord doesn’t meet the notoriety criteria, is it possible to delete it but still restrain the title as a placeholder? I.e. in case it meets the criteria in the future. Cheers, Rrobbyy Rrobbyy (talk) 08:13, 4 July 2021 (UTC)

Rrobbyy, Hi, sorry. I tried to look up what I did on that page when I reviewed it, but since it's been deleted I can't see that history anymore. I believe I may have tagged it for potentially lacking notability. An admin deleted it for CSD A7 of the speedy deletion criteria meaning it did not indicate significance. To answer your question, retaining a title isn't something that typically happens here. If the organization is somehow described in another article which itself IS notable, it maybe possible to create a redirect with the title at that point, but that can be challenged as well if the subject is not deemed notable enough. Should enough sources arise (and they don't need to be in English) the article can always be recreated, so there is no need to "reserve" the title, if that's what you mean.  A S U K I T E  18:49, 4 July 2021 (UTC)

Page mover granted

Hello, Asukite. Your account has been granted the "extendedmover" user right, either following a request for it or demonstrating familiarity with working with article names and moving pages. You are now able to rename pages without leaving behind a redirect, move subpages when moving the parent page(s), and move category pages.

Please take a moment to review Wikipedia:Page mover for more information on this user right, especially the criteria for moving pages without leaving redirect. Please remember to follow post-move cleanup procedures and make link corrections where necessary, including broken double-redirects when suppressredirect is used. This can be done using Special:WhatLinksHere. It is also very important that no one else be allowed to access your account, so you should consider taking a few moments to secure your password. As with all user rights, be aware that if abused, or used in controversial ways without consensus, your page mover status can be revoked.

If you do not want the page mover right anymore, just let me know, and I'll remove it. Thank you, and happy editing! Primefac (talk) 12:44, 17 July 2021 (UTC)

Pls Move the Draft page (Draft:Dc Themmie) to an Article

Hello Asukite, i need you to please move an Draft Article i made for a subject am not connected to https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Dc_Themmie_(Singer) to an Article Please— Preceding unsigned comment added by 102.89.0.48 (talkcontribs)

102.89.0.48 (Please remember to sign your posts on talk pages by typing four keyboard tildes like this: ~~~~.), I declined the draft as it did not meet the standards for notability, which it still doesn't. It needs to show that it has significant coverage in reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject. When I declined the draft, I did try to search for sources on Google, WP:RSSE and google news to see if anything suitable came up, but nothing did. Without such sources to back up the subject's notability, it is not eligible for an article on Wikipedia. I see that the articles for creation templates have been removed from the draft, please note that if the article is moved to mainspace, it will likely be nominated for articles for deletion, at which point it will be assessed under the full criteria for notability and a consensus will be established as to whether or not it belongs - this will make it more difficult to create an article on the subject if deemed not notable. You should also note that the article may qualify for deletion under the criteria for speedy deletion - I don't feel the need to nominate it myself, but somebody else might as it seems to only be backed up by user-uploaded sources and download links. A S U K I T E  20:13, 19 July 2021 (UTC)

Appreciate your time reviewing many of my contributions, would like some help

Would it be too much to ask for if I sent you a few articles I have created and asked for feedback, or for them to be reviewed? I'd really appreciate it. If you could point out any common mistakes I'm making, I'd really appreciate it as well. Thank you Asukite!— Preceding unsigned comment added by Mooonswimmer (talkcontribs)

Mooonswimmer - (Please remember to sign your posts on talk pages by typing four keyboard tildes like this: ~~~~. Or, you can use the [ reply ] button, which automatically signs posts.), I usually try to focus on smaller reviews when I'm at work, just because I get pulled away often. If there's an article or two you'd like me to take a look at, feel free to link them here and I will. I can't promise I'll do a full review, but I'll point out anything I can find that might help you improve them. A S U K I T E  20:20, 1 July 2021 (UTC)

Redirection

Hi, it appears that you tried to create a redirect at TV (Apple), but didn't do it correctly. I've fixed it now. For future reference, the correct redirect syntax is:

#REDIRECT [[target page name]]

You can check redirects with the Preview button before saving them. If you have created a working redirect, the preview will show the name of the target page alongside a bent arrow (or "Redirect to:" label in text mode). — Smjg (talk) 14:54, 28 July 2021 (UTC)

Smjg, thanks, that was just a mistake, I'm well aware of how redirects work. Appreciate you fixing it for me. I was copying and pasting that first line for each of the redirects as part of post-move cleanup, and didn't notice I'd failed to select the entire line I was replacing first.
