Your edits[edit]

Whatever changes you are doing are strongly discouraged, you need to first gain CONSENSUS for that and then only you are allowed to publish changes. Do not edit war in the articles. Stop here. 🌌Zoglophie🌌 10:08, 3 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hi @Zoglophie, medal count table infobox are standard on every athletes profile except badminton for athletes who won at least 1 medal. I am merely adding in the medal count infobox for uniformity and consistency across sports discipline. Nevertheless, I have already brought this up with the badminton WP team and olympics WP team for discussion at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Olympics and https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Badminton

WP Olympic team has already said that medal count infobox is ok as long as the athlete have won a medal. The medal infobox is NOT vandalism and it enhances the athlete's profile and said infobox is already present on all other athlete pages besides badminton. Are you seriously telling me that consensus is not reached when i see the medal count box everywhere?? Atom105 (talk) 10:33, 3 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Please show some patience, Can you? Let more editors to discuss about the concern you have raised. 🌌Zoglophie🌌 10:41, 3 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Zoglophie I don't understand why you are so angry with me for a medal tally infobox which is already in placed across wikipedia. Are you saying that WP badminton and WP Olympics team DID NOT AGREE to have this infobox? Because WP:olympics is ok with it. I am not vandalizing pages here. I AM adding useful information to athlete's infobox which are currently not present. Atom105 (talk) 10:47, 3 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Fine, you must wait till the discussion is over. Is it that hard to understand for you? 🌌Zoglophie🌌 10:56, 3 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I'll wait Atom105 (talk) 11:00, 3 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hi @Zoglophie, I see you have deleted my comments on your talk page. I just want to set the record straight here. That comment was with regards to the comment you made below on Yuta Watanabe (badminton) page on 3 August 2021 when you did the revert.

I have an abnormal amount of edits these few days due to updating the Tokyo 2020 Summer Olmypics events and records for various countries as I see their events unfold. You can check my contributions and verify them. I am not a vandal here and I do not appreciate you accusing me of doing something nasty on wikipdia. Atom105 (talk) 11:31, 3 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Invitation to join discussion[edit]

Hello. Just wanna stop by and invite you to join this Olympic related discussion if you are interested. --阿pp (talk) 04:11, 7 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Suggestion on citations[edit]

Consider place citations inside the event sell instead of the round/final cell. Very often the round/final cells are too crowded, but the event sells are much spacious. Also, try to use "Results Summary by Event" PDF or "Results Book" PDF (if available) to save some efforts. "Results by Round" PDFs are too time consuming. --阿pp (talk) 13:48, 7 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks 阿pp Understood. However some events(like diving) does not have results summary. so I have no choice but to list all haha Atom105 (talk) 14:10, 7 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Canada at the 2020 Summer Olympics[edit]

Per Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Infoboxes References are acceptable in some cases, but generally not needed in infoboxes if the content is repeated (and cited) elsewhere. Since the information is already cited in the lead, its unnecessary to add references in the infobox. Please stop adding them back.

@User:Sportsfan 1234 Yes, I just been made aware of this WP. I am currently clarifying this issue. Will not edit until the Clarification is made. Do remember to sign your posts next time. Atom105 (talk) 01:02, 9 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Update: Your style of citation and adding flag-bearers information into the article itself is correct as per WP:INFOBOXREF and Clarification. I will follow your style. Thanks! Atom105 (talk) 02:39, 9 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
