"Related" field in Template:Infobox television[edit]

As per the instructions for Template:Infobox television, which I suggested you read in my edit summaries,[1][2][3] the "|related=" field is for "remakes, spin-offs, adaptations for different audiences, etc." None of the three TV programs meet these criteria (sharing characters is NOT a criteria), so they do not belong in the "|related=" field of other articles. Please also note that "|chronology=", which you added to Eureka (TV series),[4] is not a valid field in the template. --AussieLegend (talk) 16:30, 23 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Kansas Breweries[edit]

Hi. Your list needs citations from independent sources not connected to the breweries themselves. Brewery websites don't satisfy WP:NOT. The existing breweries without citations should be removed as well. Except that I'm in the process of adding citations. I would suggest gathering citations for the breweries you want to add and then doing the list all at once. "Planned businesses" are not acceptable under any circumstances for a list. See WP:LSC and WP:LISTCOMPANY for more on this. In the meantime your lists are going to keep getting deleted by various editors.Prof. Mc (talk) 15:53, 1 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Also, why are you putting "Kansas-based" in the "Open Breweries" phrase. It's a list of Kansas breweries. Adding Kansas to the title of the section is redundant. Prof. Mc (talk) 16:08, 1 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

The name of the article is List of breweries in Kansas, not Kansas Breweries. That was to separate the breweries based in Kansas and those operating in Kansas but based elsewhere (Granite City and BJ's). Austin Harper 16:26, 1 October 2014 (UTC)

I found a good article (Kansas beer breweries thriving, expanding) over at kansas.com that talks about almost all of the breweries I listed. I'll add it to the reference list along with adding the breweries back into the article. Austin Harper 16:26, 1 October 2014 (UTC)

Yes. That's the one I used. But it's kind of weak since it's not really an article about those. It'll suffice, but I'm looking for other articles that talk about the breweries themsevles instead of just listing them. But yes, thanks. Definitely leave out the "Planned" though. I'll go ahead and use it for now, but I'll add better articles as I find them. I've also found a few so far, but a lot of those article aren't much more than just saying "Hey, there's a brewery in town and here's its address..." I'll also update the citation for "Kansas beer breweries thriving" so they all have the same citation number.

I found good citations for all of the currently open breweries except: 23rd Street Brewery (Lawrence), Barnyard (Lawrence), Broadway St (Concordia), and Crazy Eye (Hiawatha). I also found four additional breweries that have registered with the state Kansas Department of Revenue Liquor License Search: Limestone (Russell), Plum Creek (Beloit), Fly Boy (Sylvan Grove), and Belleville (Galena). Would you mind helping me out finding some sources for these last few breweries? FYI, I'm planning on attending the opening day for both of the upcoming Wichita breweries (Central Standard and Hopping Gnome) so I'll be sure to list them on the page once they're open.

Problem with your custom signature[edit]

You have a custom signature set in your account preferences. A change to Wikipedia's software has made your current custom signature incompatible with the software.

The problem: Your preferences are set to interpret your custom signature as wikitext. However, your current custom signature does not contain any wikitext.

The solutions: You can reset your signature to the default, or you can fix your signature.

Solution 1: Reset your signature to the default:

Find the signature section in the first tab of Special:Preferences.
Uncheck the box (☑︎→☐) that says "Treat the above as wiki markup."
Remove anything in the Signature: text box. (It might already be empty.)
Click the blue "Save" button at the bottom of the page. (The red "Restore all default settings" button will reset all of your preference settings, not just the signature.)

Solution 2: Fix your custom signature:

Find the signature section in the first tab of Special:Preferences.
Uncheck the box (☑︎→☐) that says "Treat the above as wiki markup."
Click the blue "Save" button at the bottom of the page.
