ArbCom 2017 election voter message

Hello, Yexstorm2001. Voting in the 2017 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23.59 on Sunday, 10 December. All users who registered an account before Saturday, 28 October 2017, made at least 150 mainspace edits before Wednesday, 1 November 2017 and are not currently blocked are eligible to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2017 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 18:42, 3 December 2017 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for December 19

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Barrhead, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page David Craig (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 10:05, 19 December 2017 (UTC)

Krāslava Parish ‎

I was just filling a gap on Administrative divisions of Latvia - so a suitable crosslinking is needed (as, possibly, is a 'rewriting required' tag - I was using Google Translate). Jackiespeel (talk) 18:10, 20 December 2017 (UTC)

That's OK, just a bit of a misunderstanding. I'm not sure if there's such a thing as a "rewriting required" tag, but there are a bunch of translation tags. ---- 🎼Yexstorm2001🎼 (talk) 18:14, 20 December 2017 (UTC)
I am developing [1] (and other wikis) and include links to relevant other language WP pages etc/more obvious OR on the several pages. Jackiespeel (talk) 18:35, 20 December 2017 (UTC)
@Jackiespeel - Why did name the article Krāslava Parish, when you in fact have tried to translate the artcle on Turki Parish? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Philaweb (talkcontribs) 22:31, 20 December 2017 (UTC)
Yeah, that's something I don't get. If you are going to translate a article, please use the original name. ---- 🎼Yexstorm2001🎼 (talk) 22:37, 20 December 2017 (UTC)

Cites

Sorry, do you mind fixing the citations in Elmcroft for me? Even reading Help:Cites I think I'm doing it correctly...but obviously I am not. AMightierHeart (talk) 02:40, 26 December 2017 (UTC)

  • The reason the citation showed the error message was because the reference name was "hometown", which is a citation that doesn't exist on the article. That is why I have deleted it. --🎼Yexstorm2001🎼 (talk) 02:44, 26 December 2017 (UTC)
    • (as a side note, I have done the same to citations 7 and 11. --🎼Yexstorm2001🎼 (talk) 02:46, 26 December 2017 (UTC)

I thought they were all defined? AMightierHeart (talk) 02:50, 26 December 2017 (UTC)

The error messages said that they were defined but they were not invoked. --🎼Yexstorm2001🎼 (talk) 02:52, 26 December 2017 (UTC)

Hope that means something to you, I'm confused as all heck...wasn't the <ref name="valley" /> invoking them? AMightierHeart (talk) 03:01, 26 December 2017 (UTC)
No. --🎼Yexstorm2001🎼 (talk) 03:31, 26 December 2017 (UTC)

Account

I was trying to reset password on my account Anonymous Ryan but the email was incorrect when I created it and I am unable to sign in to my account. Is it possible to retrieve my old acount? --Anonymous Ryan 2 (talk) 03:26, 27 December 2017 (UTC)

  • If your email address is invaild or you can't access it then I'm sorry to say it's not possible to log back in your account. But I am not a admin, so I'm not sure if that's correct. Go ask one. --🎼Yexstorm2001🎼 (talk) 03:48, 27 December 2017 (UTC)

Can you not delete Squared?

I don't know what Squared is so it needs a Wikipedia article! --I Have Always Been a Twin (talk) 18:44, 28 December 2017 (UTC)

  • If you don't know what Squared is, then why did you create a article on it? --🎼Yexstorm2001🎼 (talk) 18:49, 28 December 2017 (UTC)

Speedy deletion declined: Squared (TV series)

Hello Yexstorm2001. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Squared (TV series), a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: notability is not required for A7. A cast of some notable people is sufficient to indicate significance. If you think this is not notable, try WP:AFD. Thank you. SoWhy 20:02, 30 December 2017 (UTC)

Rollback

I have granted the "rollbacker" permission to your account. After a review of some of your contributions, I believe you can be trusted to use rollback for its intended usage of reverting vandalism, and that you will not abuse it by reverting good-faith edits or to revert-war. For information on rollback, see Wikipedia:Administrators' guide/Rollback and Wikipedia:Rollback feature. If you do not want rollback, contact me and I will remove it. Good luck and thanks. – Gilliam (talk) 19:32, 2 January 2018 (UTC)

  • Thank you! I was considering requesting rollback rights anyway, and I noticed there was a "rollback" button while making a edit. Took me a bit by surprise. --🎼Yexstorm2001🎼 (talk) 19:35, 2 January 2018 (UTC)

2018 in film

If you would check the history I did explain why, and I was about to leave a message on the Talk page for future clarity. DCF94 (talk) 19:50, 7 January 2018 (UTC)

  • Yes, you did provide a explanation in your new edit, and I appreciate that, but you did not provide one in your reverts of mine and another person's edits. That was why I reverted it. You need provide a edit summary for edits like that, otherwise I'm going to assume your being unconstructive and revert it. That's just the kind of person I am. --🎼Yexstorm2001🎼 (talk) 19:54, 7 January 2018 (UTC)
    • I intended to add a summary on the last edit I was gonna undo, but you already edited again and I re-edited myself and added the explanation. Sorry for the confusion, and please check the Talk page where I explained more in detail about this situation. DCF94 (talk) 20:05, 7 January 2018 (UTC)

Talk:PragerU ‎

Hi Yexstorm2001. I noticed you accidentally edited a comment from Talk:PragerU [2]. I've gone ahead and restored it with a section header and a sig. I thought you would want to know. --Ronz (talk) 23:01, 28 January 2018 (UTC)

Decolonisation

United States recognition of Jerusalem as capital of Israel

Your unilateral move per "GAR" which was being discussed had the effect of resetting the GA review which I understand was unintentional, but it would have nice if you could have waited to move the article. I appreciate your helping with the review but it would have been a lot less confusing if you could have commented on the review so we knew what was going on - instead I just got a fail notice, and didn't know what was going on. That said, please change traveling back to travelling, the article is standardized for British English and the change was intentional. I think Chetsford is willing to reopen the review since it was unintentionally reset and we can pick up from there. Seraphim System (talk) 20:07, 19 February 2018 (UTC)

  • My apologies. I quickly read through the GAR and thought it would be best to move it, as the review suggested it. I didn't realize it would reset the GA review. --★Yexstorm2001★ (talk) 20:43, 19 February 2018 (UTC)
Yeah I wouldn't have either - if you want to make further changes to the article, can you also update the checklist at the GA review. I already added the previous changes you made. Seraphim System (talk) 20:46, 19 February 2018 (UTC)

Your edits on the "Hard Feelings/Loveless" article were uncalled for. Changing the lead as well as the format of the credits section, removing a crucial credit from Paul Simon's documentary. Why? Every citation from the credits came directly from the album's booklet. To remove this makes the article unreliable. Also, why are you editing this article as a review was already put in place for the nominator (me) to use to improve said article? Your edits get in the way of being able to accurately use the review I was given. Also, if the reviewer did not make any further comments on the article, I don't think you should go in and change things that do not require changing. De88 (talk) 02:59, 20 February 2018 (UTC)

YOU!

You edited my talk userpage! You can not edit my userpage talk! You get one warning! 4 more and ur blocked — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2602:30A:C073:B570:D92D:125E:61F5:B3B1 (talk) 19:40, 17 March 2018 (UTC)

  • You're not a administrator, so you can't block me. Besides, it would be a petty reason to block someone because they edited another user's talk page. (unless it was say vandalism) Users don't own their talk page, other editors can freely edit them. --★Gooseflesh12★ (talk) 19:43, 17 March 2018 (UTC)

4th accounts for incest don't pass the BLP smell test.

You revert was reverted. BLP violations shouldn't be restored with rollback. Continue and your rollacker privilege may be removed for abuse. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2600:8800:1300:16E:E89B:725F:420F:8368 (talk) 19:48, 17 March 2018 (UTC)

  • What you removed on the page wasn't a BLP violation. What you are doing is vandalism, and you need to stop. --★Gooseflesh12★ (talk) 19:49, 17 March 2018 (UTC)
