Hi, I saw that you think that "my" article should be rewritten. I would like to know what's wrong, perhaps I can fix it. Thank you for reading it. Sincerely, /Axel Kockum (talk) 14:16, 17 February 2010 (UTC) P.S. My grandmother is japanese :).[reply]

I see that you put a lot of hard work into this, very good, thank you. I will make suggestions little-by-little. Part of the problem is WP:LYRICS, this may be better in Wikiquote than Wikipedia. I will check and get back to you. Welcome to Wikipedia! --Chris (クリス • フィッチュ) (talk) 17:14, 17 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
First, thank you for your quick reply :D. And thank you for your critic. But I do not really know what I should do... One alternative would be to move the entire article to Wikiquote, and replace the current article on Wikipedia with one that just refer you to the one on Wikiquote. Another alternative might be to just erase the verses and refer to Wikisource (where the entire Divine Comedy is). But I don't really like this because there is just the English translation and not the Italian originale. So, well, what do you think I should do?

Thanks and sincerrely /Axel Kockum (talk) 18:03, 17 February 2010 (UTC) P.S. I would like to have the Italian and the English version of the text side to side, not below and over eachother, but I don't know how to do. Do you?[reply]

I have to go to work now, please write here, not my page, I will write when I get home. New talk just goes below old stuff. --Chris (クリス • フィッチュ) (talk) 02:51, 18 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your excellent work on Dante-related articles[edit]

Thank you for your excellent work on Dante-related articles, especially Malebranche (Divine Comedy). I have made sure that the pages across Wikipedia that should point to it do so.

There is a problem, though, with the image File:Dante's inferno.JPG, which is an image that we cannot use in its current form, because it is actually copyrighted (it seems to be a copy of an image belonging to Penguin). It cannot be used, unless you can get a permission email through the OTRS system (see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission). I'm afraid I will need to flag the existing image for deletion: please understand that I do so reluctantly and with apologies for the inconvenience to you.

Thanks again for your excellent contributions to Wikipedia. -- Radagast3 (talk) 22:48, 27 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Further to that image, since it's an English chart in a Swedish book, I'm guessing Natur och Kultur do not own the copyright, but used it under license from the actual copyright owner (which I suspect is Penguin). We would need the actual copyright owner to release the image to the public domain (unlikely) or to release it under Wikipedia's GNU license. -- Radagast3 (talk) 01:31, 28 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi! Thank you very much :). I find the Divine Comedy very interesting, and I think that writing articles on Wikipedia is a good way to analyze it.

And ye... I wonder if you can help me with that picture. You see, the originale (in the book)is not in English, I've translated it from Swedish through "Paint" (through moving the letters). I am sorry that I forgot to write it in the description. The copyright is actually belonging to Natur and Kultur, and I asked them per email if I could use it, and I got permission. The problem is that I don't really understand how I can show it to Wikipedia (I am only 15 years old and my English isn't the very best). Could you please help me? I could surely beg them to send an email to Wikipedia or something like that.

Sincerely, /Axel Kockum (talk) 16:49, 28 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, I see. I wondered why it was in English. I'm still worried that the image does not belong to Natur and Kultur, because it's the same image as is in my Penguin version of the Inferno, and Penguin has been using the image since 1949. If Natur and Kultur were only using Penguin's image, then they don't have the right to give it to us. So I'd like to know more about where the image came from.
The Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission process involves checking that they really do own the copyright (not just under Swedish law, but more generally), explaining they would be giving permission for all kinds of commercial uses by people who download from Wikipedia, and asking them to agree to the Creative Commons Attribution-Sharealike 3.0 Unported License (or a more generous license, such as public domain release). See Wikipedia:Example requests for permission for some example letters.
Their email would need to include the exact text at Wikipedia:Declaration of consent for all enquiries. You would then upload the image to commons again, forward your request and their reply and the url of the image to "permissions-commons AT wikimedia DOT org", and tag the image with {{OTRS pending}} (their reply should also have been copied to that address). Volunteers would then handle the rest of the process, and they need to check that everything has been done OK, or Wikipedia might get sued.
That's all assuming they do own the copyright. As I said, I'm not sure they do. -- Radagast3 (talk) 21:44, 28 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I asked Natur och Kultur today if the picture was theirs or Penguin's. They didn't really reply, ther only reply was "ask Penguin" -.-. /Axel Kockum (talk) 16:05, 3 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Better forget about it then. -- Radagast3 (talk) 21:19, 3 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Moving pages[edit]

I noticed you moved Papé Satàn, papé Satàn aleppe. This broke a few redirects: it's good to check for that sort of thing. -- Radagast3 (talk) 22:27, 4 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, yeah... I am sorry about that, I forgot to check it. I was quit tired at that moment of Wikipedia because of the hassle with the picture. I must thank you for all your corrections to "my" articles. Are you a native English speaker? I want also to say that I admire you alot. I don't think that there are so many who are both mathematicans (explorers of the logic and the "real world") and interested in poetry/religion (explorers of the human inner world)!

Thanks! In general, when you start an article, it's good to think about how readers will get there. In this case, I've handled it, and you can see what I've done from the "what links here" link on the left of each page. -- Radagast3 (talk) 22:49, 6 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, and have a userbox: Radagast3 (talk) 22:50, 6 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
This user is part of the Divine Comedy team.

Thanks for the information! May I use that toolbox too? And yeah, by the way, do you think it would be good if I uploaded all of Gustave Doré's illustrations to Divine Comedy at Wikipedia Commons, or is it unnessesary? Axel Kockum (talk) 15:51, 7 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, use the infobox if you like. As to Gustave Doré's illustrations, we do have a lot already, but new ones would still be good. --Radagast3 (talk) 16:23, 7 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hrm... I am sorry if this is an unnessesery question but... How do I do to use the user box? (I expect I should use my username). /Axel Kockum (talk) 20:03, 8 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I've taken the liberty of editing your page. You might also like to check out Wikipedia:Userboxes/Gallery. -- Radagast3 (talk) 20:55, 8 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks alot, you are my Vergilius : ). Axel Kockum (talk) 17:04, 9 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
