Welcome!

Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. The following links will help you begin editing on Wikipedia:

Please bear these points in mind while editing Wikipedia

The Wikipedia tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and discussion pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~ (the software will replace them with your signature and the date). Again, welcome!

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a search with the contents of List of Pakistani songs recorded by Shreya Ghoshal, and it appears to be very similar to another Wikipedia page: List of Urdu songs recorded by Shreya Ghoshal. It is possible that you have accidentally duplicated contents, or made an error while creating the page— you might want to look at the pages and see if that is the case. If you are intentionally trying to rename an article, please see Help:Moving a page for instructions on how to do this without copying and pasting. If you are trying to move or copy content from one article to a different one, please see Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia and be sure you have acknowledged the duplication of material in an edit summary to preserve attribution history.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. CorenSearchBot (talk) 04:57, 30 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

July 2015[edit]

Hello, I'm FourViolas. I noticed that you recently removed all content from List of Pakistani songs recorded by Shreya Ghoshal with this edit without explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, I restored the page's content. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. FourViolas (talk) 05:10, 30 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on File:Shreya Ghoshal At Royal Albert Hall.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the file appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted content borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. §§Dharmadhyaksha§§ {Talk / Edits} 07:39, 15 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited List of awards and nominations received by Shreya Ghoshal, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page National Film Awards. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Talkback[edit]

Dear, I am really glad that you wished to come to a conclusion regarding this matter. Well, I am answering them one by one. First of all, please check WP:WINARS. Many users think that Wikipedia is like a crystal ball and since it's free to edit, they just do whatever they wish and add misleading information. You have just been following that misleading information. Have you ever heard the song from Main Hoon Part-Time Killer yourself? There's no part of Shreya in it, since I have heard it. Even if you have heard that song, stop considering yourself a fan since you can't even recognize your idol's voice. In future, don't just add information to pages simply because you found that on another Wikipedia page. From your very first edits, I knew that you were a novice trying to imitate the modus operandi of experienced users. You din't even think of learning about the rules of Wikipedia before starting editing and creating pages (better follow the very first automated message on your talk page). Secondly, in Wikipedia we don't add songs to lists unless and until they have been released. Nobody gives you a guarantee that the songs in consideration will ever be released, and listing them simply makes the list look ugly. Stay away from adding them. The background color and dagger are to represent delayed/upcoming films, and not songs. Thirdly, there are certain rules regarding the size of articles in Wikipedia, the Shreya Ghoshal song list has already crossed that limit (see WP:SIZE). We are trying to condense information on that page to the utmost extent and hence, there is no need of mentioning all the singers contributing to backing vocals. We may even split the article in future if it requires, but only after a discursive discussion. There is already an existing Shreya Ghoshal taskforce in Wikipedia including me and some other users, so don't interfere in our objective with the edits you make. We have already promoted the Shreya Ghoshal page to a good article and are working to make it featured. We will soon turn our attention to her albums and song lists and make them interactive with good, informative and of course reliable content. You don't even understand that it wasn't me who was nominating the Shreya Ghoshal albums for deletion, it was me who actually created them. They have been deleted due to some issues and we will soon see into that. Previously, you even repeatedly added the song called Judaai, though Shreya Ghoshal herself confirmed on Twitter that she had not sung it. Please don't be a menace on Wikipedia (and remember to sign your posts). Bubaikumar 07:41, 18 October 2015 (UTC)

P.S. Don't overlink articles. See WP:OVERLINK. Bubaikumar 07:49, 18 October 2015 (UTC)

Read my message properly[edit]

Have a look at User_talk:Bubaikumar#Talkback_2

Bubaikumar 08:40, 19 October 2015 (UTC)

Now answer this question- Did Shreya sing the Marathi part/Qawwali part? Secondly, I am not behaving in a way as if Wikipedia is something personal. I have been working on that page for about three years and I do think I have the right to address its issues. Bubaikumar 08:59, 19 October 2015 (UTC)
Song list simply means a song list and details about the album credits have no place there, they belong to the original motion picture soundtrack description. If you understand English, then for the sake of God, stop editing that page. Bubaikumar 09:01, 19 October 2015 (UTC)
Please bother to donate 20 seconds of your precious life looking at the iTunes link of the STJ album https://itunes.apple.com/in/album/shudhu-tomari-jonyo-original/id1046479481 . In Wikipedia, we are bound to list songs as mentioned in the audio CD, moreover, there's no need to mention that it's the title track (we come to know that from the name of the song itself). And I have no interest in personally talking to you. Bubaikumar 09:09, 19 October 2015 (UTC)
Seems you don't understand English properly. Bubaikumar 12:08, 19 October 2015 (UTC)

Information icon Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button ( or ) located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Article splits[edit]

Hi, with regard to your recent article split at Bajirao Mastani (soundtrack), you really should have opened up a discussion at Talk:Bajirao Mastani (film) to seek consensus for a split. There were two significant issues: 1) There is insufficient content to warrant a unique article. There's no point in having a stub article for content that would reasonably be found in the film article. 2) You performed a copy/paste move without providing proper attribution, which contravenes our copyright rules. See Copying Within Wikipedia for more information. Basically, you needed to either use a clear edit summary explaining where the content came from, and/or use the {{copied}} template. Again, the details are at WP:CWW. I have restored the content to the film article and converted the new article into a redirect until such time that a new article is warranted. Thanks. Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. Congratulations[edit]

Congratulations idiot!! You are officially the biggest dumb ass I've ever seen in my life. And your English is too horrible. I did not make that edit which you are referring to, which shows that you still don't know a W of Wikipedia even being here for months. I was instead modifying that Filmfare page with an interactive tabular format and you undid it. Please get out of Wikipedia as soon as possible, take some mind and cognition courses and then make a comeback. All the best. Bubaikumar 07:39, 17 January 2016 (UTC)

So once again, it was you who apologized. Firstly, I had great difficulty in decrypting your English. Secondly, do you even know what a featured list is? Have you ever had a look of a featured list of awards in Wikipedia such as Academy Award for Best Actor? I was only following the standards of WP:PRIZE to promote the article to a higher level, so it does not matter if that felt ugly to you. Whatever, next time onward, watch your ass before commenting. And please consider taking that course I mentioned. Bubaikumar 14:25, 17 January 2016 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of Deewani Mastani Song[edit]

The article Deewani Mastani Song has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

The song is not independently notable. It is just a song which a part of a mornal movie. Details about it are already present in the article Bajirao_Mastani_(soundtrack).

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. "Splendid interiors" and plagiarism[edit]

Hi there, re: this edit, you introduced non-neutral, subjective language about a song being filmed "on a huge set that comprises of the splendid interiors of the Chittorgarh Fort". Huge and splendid are subjective ideas that don't belong in articles. "Splendid" is synonymous with "beautiful" and since I'm sure you've heard that "beauty is in the eye of the beholder" it would be inappropriate to state an opinion as a fact. What is also problematic, is that you seem to have copied the phrase from here, which you cannot do, as that would constitute WP:PLAGIARISM and would present copyright violation concerns. Please write content in your own words and please stick to neutral language by leaving out opinions and other subjective language. Thanks. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 16:38, 2 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for January 3[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Screen Award for Best Female Playback, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Saathiya (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 09:04, 3 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Ghoomar awards[edit]

Re: this silent reversion, since you neglected to open a discussion about this, you don't have consensus for that change. Would you care to explain why you're submitting non-notable awards for this song? Wikipedia has a problem with award mills, sites and entities that only exist to generate meaningless awards for promotional purposes. Typically we only care about notable awards. For instance that's why MOS:FILM says "Awards included in lists should have a Wikipedia article to demonstrate notability. Because of the proliferation of film festivals and "award mills", festival awards should be added with discretion, with inclusion subject to consensus. Awards bestowed by web-only entities are not included." Note also WP:V which says "Verifiability does not guarantee inclusion." Also, in most general lists like List of British former child actors list entries have to have bluelinked articles that first demonstrate notability. We wouldn't want grandmums to add their precious children to a list like this. So, with that in mind, why do we care about the 2-year-old Gaana User's Choice Icons award, which appears to be a non-notable user voting award for a web-only entity. Or the four-year-old FOI Online Awards, which appears to be a web-only entity. Or an award hosted by a blog, filmyfenil.com. We don't even allow blogs to be used as references in articles, let alone use them as arbiters of quality in the arts. These flimsy additions just reek of promotion. Notice

The article Ghar More Pardesiya has been proposed for deletion. The proposed deletion notice added to the article should explain why.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Problem with your custom signature[edit]

You have a custom signature set in your account preferences. A change to Wikipedia's software has made your current custom signature incompatible with the software.

The problem: Your preferences are set to interpret your custom signature as wikitext. However, your current custom signature does not contain any wikitext.

The solutions: You can reset your signature to the default, or you can fix your signature.

Solution 1: Reset your signature to the default:
  1. Find the signature section in the first tab of Special:Preferences.
  2. Uncheck the box (☑︎→☐) that says "Treat the above as wiki markup."
  3. Remove anything in the Signature: text box. (It might already be empty.)
  4. Click the blue "Save" button at the bottom of the page. (The red "Restore all default settings" button will reset all of your preference settings, not just the signature.)
Solution 2: Fix your custom signature:
  1. Find the signature section in the first tab of Special:Preferences.
  2. Uncheck the box (☑︎→☐) that says "Treat the above as wiki markup."
  3. Click the blue "Save" button at the bottom of the page.

More information about custom signatures is available at Wikipedia:Signatures#Customizing how everyone sees your signature. If you have followed these instructions and still want help, please leave a message at Wikipedia talk:Signatures. 05:12, 13 August 2020 (UTC)
