On the BS25999 page I have added back in the link to the Continuity Forum. it is a Not for Profit independent NGO that is widely regarded for its promotion of Business Continuity. It is a member of the various BSI committees developing standards including BS25999 as well as the new US Standard. BCM adviser (talk) 09:57, 23 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Business Continuity Planning page update[edit]

I have added back in the Continuity Forum link under the external pages tab. This has previously been removed for unexplained reasons Its activities as an NGO, the high level involvement in the professional development of the sector through its government links and engagement in Standards such as BS25999 and 3100, as well of 100's of community based promotion events more than justify its inclusion.BCM adviser (talk) 10:12, 23 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Civil Contingencies Act 2004 page[edit]

Added links to Continuity Forum and the Business Continuity Institute as they are both cited in the Legislation as reliable sources of advice BCM adviser (talk) 10:36, 23 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to the encyclopedia, one or more of the external links you added do not comply with our guidelines for external links and have been removed. Wikipedia is not a collection of links; nor should it be used as a platform for advertising or promotion, and doing so is contrary to the goals of this project. Because Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page before reinserting it. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. [1] MrOllie (talk) 12:07, 23 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Professional associations[edit]

Undid removal by MrOllie ... there can be NO objection whatsoever to the Continuity Forum listing hereBCM adviser (talk) 13:12, 27 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to List of professional associations in the United Kingdom. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Because Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by most search engines. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. Thank you. MrOllie (talk) 14:03, 27 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

BS 25999, the ANSI/BSI BCM.01 standard and ISO[edit]

This has been omitted from the BS 25999 page and should be included. The collaboration/authorship between BSI and ASIS brought many of those who wrote BS25999 together with a broad base of US contributors to develop the BS 25999 standard in a form more easily aligned with US operations and needs.

ISO are also looking to publishing the international standard for Business Continuity later this year or early next and this should also be referenced as it features key components of BS 25999 and BCM.01. There is some debate about the current ISO standard and this may mean continued relevance for both BS 25999 and BCM.01.

Your entire history logs efforts to add a link to the Continuity Forum website, and now via IP. This is across a variety of Wikipedia pages, and you have been challenged by a number of editors. Please cease this activity. 86.166.195.142 (talk) 07:06, 24 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
