Hi, I find you are keen on improving information about Srivilliputhur. Keep it up. However while doing so, especially adding references, please use proper sources. I suggest you read WP:PSTS and WP:VERIFY completely to get a better understanding about sources which are acceptable in wikipedia. Adding sources like srivilliputhur.com etc will only be removed during a clean up. Feel free to contact if you require any clarification. Srikanth (ping me) 08:31, 28 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I am sure Srivilliputhur has a lot of verifiable references, just that we need to do some research on it. http://books.google.com is one good place to find references. The Hindu / searching in other established media should help.I would also suggest you to read WP:NOT to understand what wikipedia is not. I am telling it because the article has issues like WP:LAUNDRY lists(ex:- list of lodges,ATMs etc) which doesnt come under the pretext of encyclopedic content. And yes User_talk pages are there to interact with other wikipedia users and you messaged me using it and correctly so. And while doing so always remember to sign your messages with 4 tildes ~. You might take some time reading the Welcome notice present above in this page to familiarize yourself with wikipedia which will help you in contributing in a better way. An Invitation From Sue Gardner[edit]

Dear Wikimedia Project Contributor,

I am the assistant to Sue Gardner, the Executive Director of the Wikimedia Foundation. Sue and I will be traveling to the United Arab Emirates in early December to attend and speak at TedxDubai on Saturday, December 4. While traveling in Dubai Sue would like to meet with local Wikimedians and other project contributors to learn about your community and to inform you about the Wikimedia Foundation. We find these informal meet-ups a useful way to gather groups of Wikimedians who may enjoy learning about the work of other contributors in their region, and to learn about the work of the Wikimedia Foundation. While in Dubai we plan for Sue to conduct press interviews with mainstream media and to possibility speak at a local university.

The reason I am contact you is to inquire if you are interested in meeting Sue and gathering with other Wikimedians during her upcoming visit. I plan to arrange a private location with light food and beverages in an open space for attendees to share and meet each other. If you are interested to attend or know other Wikimedia contributors who may be interested in attending please email me at jowen@wikimedia.org.

We hope to have the opportunity to meet you in December.

Regards,

James T. Owen

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
