Improve[edit]

It is better not to use abbrevations. An abbrevation is a three letter word in capital letters.

This will be better for readers.

BDvEngers (talk) 12:11, 21 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I have no idea what you're talking about. Which abbreviation? Banaticus (talk) 17:42, 21 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed non-free use rationale for File:Bem casados.jpg[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Bem casados.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator seven days after the file was tagged in accordance with section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. Stefan2 (talk) 21:16, 11 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

"Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale." And it has both of those. Stop it, Stefan2, this is your third time with a silly rationale as to why that image needs to be deleted. Just stop, seriously. Banaticus (talk) 22:18, 11 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Not sure why you licensed this file as {{Non-free film screenshot}}, but it shouldn't be licensed as such. Assuming this is a movie poster, you probably should use {{Non-free poster}} instead. As for the non-free use rationale, Stefan2 is correct in that the non-free use rationale should be specific to the particular use of the file and not just random/boilerplate language regardless of how many bullet points you use. You can revise the rationale accordingly by hand if you like, but you can also use {{Non-free use rationale poster}} as well. The template has the advantage of keeping things standardized and letting you know what information is required. Try to be as specific as possible and provide a source (preferably a link to the website where you found the file) so that its copyright status can be verified per WP:NFCC#10a. -- Marchjuly (talk) 01:51, 12 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Notice

The file File:Mexican flag construction sheet.png has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Unused (see WP:NOTWEBHOST), unclear purpose

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.

Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Zinclithium (talk) 06:18, 29 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Was it perhaps replaced by commons:File:Mexico_flag_construction_sheet.png? I can't see it now, obviously, but was a reason given for its creation? Why was I notified? Banaticus (talk) 19:42, 10 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

United+States+of+America listed at Redirects for discussion[edit]

An editor has asked for a discussion to address the redirect United+States+of+America. Since you had some involvement with the United+States+of+America redirect, you might want to participate in the redirect discussion if you have not already done so. Help updating Girl Scout Cookies[edit]

I've been trying to update the current list of cookies on Talk:Girl Scout Cookies#Trios discontinued, but there doesn't seem to be a lot of activity over there. I have a COI with the Girl Scouts of the USA, so I'm refraining from editing directly. I saw you're a member of WP:SCOUT and I was hoping you might be able to take a look. If you have time, could you check it out? I'd really appreciate it.--FacultiesIntact (talk) 03:47, 24 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Please participate to the talk pages consultation[edit]

Hello

Our team at the Wikimedia Foundation is working on a project to improve the ease-of-use and productivity of wiki talk pages. As a Teahouse host, I can imagine you’ve run into challenges explaining talk pages to first-time participants.

We want all contributors to be able to talk to each other on the wikis – to ask questions, to resolve differences, to organize projects and to make decisions. Communication is essential for the depth and quality of our content, and the health of our communities. We're currently leading a global consultation on how to improve talk pages, and we're looking for people that can report on their experiences using (or helping other people to use) wiki talk pages. We'd like to invite you to participate in the consultation, and invite new users to join too.

We thank you in advance for your participation and your help.
