Displaying images[edit]

Hi Barefeetdude, I thought I'd let you know that you can't display an image from another site on Wikipedia (as you are attempting to do on the Gurten, Bern article). It simply doesn't work. In order to display an image, it must first be uploaded it to Wikipedia. If you have a suitable image (for example a photo you took yourself, or a copyright free version from somewhere else) you can upload images at Special:Upload. File copyright problem with File:Gurten_Bern.jpg[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Gurten_Bern.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link.

Wikilinks[edit]

Hi Barefeetdude,

You might want to take a look at MOS:LINKS to see when it is and is not a good idea to provide wikilinks. Normally, ordinary English words such as mother or divorce aren't wikilinked unless they have some special importance to the article. If you're interested in links, you might enjoy helping with the Disambiguation taskforce.

Also, there's a guideline on what nationalities are appropriate to mention in leads at WP:OPENPARA.
