Please review DYK thread on – Qatar at the 2010 Asian Para Games[edit]

Hi Basement12, this first time I nominated my article for DYK, but no one had reviewed it, except one who pointed out the phrasing errors in article, which have been corrected. But still the thread is lying down there; as you are pretty much active in sports related article, I'm wondering if you could review my thread, it was nominated on May 28 and actually it is a last nomination of that day. Please help me on this, thanks and regards. — Bill william comptonTalk 02:24, 6 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your prompt response; I've tried to answer your query, please take a look at Template talk:Did you know#Qatar at the 2010 Asian Para Games. — Bill william comptonTalk 13:43, 7 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

1968 Olympics Black Power salute[edit]

Hi. Just for understanding: What do you mean with your comment? That in an archive version of the article the link may be is available? I never heard about that. Thank you for answer.Montell 74 (talk) 19:29, 6 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Certain websites, such as The Wayback machine can be used to find old web pages no longer available at their original url. For example I found the link from 1968 Olympics Black Power salute here. You can add the archive url to the citation template like I did in this edit which removes the need to find new references for the information - Basement12 (T.C) 19:37, 6 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

See Talk:2004 Summer Olympics#.22Plastic_Explosives_Discovery.22 - the IP is not a vandal, he's completely sincere. (Though I agree the addition can't stand without a public reference.) I'm thinking of it as an opportunity to learn how ordinary people feel when they wander into the Wikipedia sausage factory and the first thing that happens is they fall into the meat-grinder ... - David Gerard (talk) 11:41, 25 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Basement. I was wondering if I could have some input on the article. In particular, do you have any ideas on where to find a greater diversity of references, and also possibly how to interpret boxing statistics that are given on Olympic charts? --Starstriker7(Talk) 01:04, 13 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I'm aware you're not around much - but I thought you might have an opinion on Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Disability#New_disability_categories as it's relevant to some paralymics work I notice you've done... Fayedizard (talk) 19:41, 12 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

WP Olympics in the Signpost[edit]

The WikiProject Report would like to focus on WikiProject Olympics for a Signpost article to be published days before this year's opening ceremony. This is an excellent opportunity to draw attention to your efforts and attract new members to the project. Would you be willing to participate in an interview? If so, here are the questions for the interview. Just add your response below each question and feel free to skip any questions that you don't feel comfortable answering. Multiple editors will have an opportunity to respond to the interview questions, so be sure to sign your answers. If you know anyone else who would like to participate in the interview, please share this with them. Have a great day. -Mabeenot (talk) 07:06, 20 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
