empty articles[edit]

Some articles that you created such as Ruddy Mongoose, Liberian Mongoose, Liberian Mongoose, Collared Mongoose, Indian Gray Mongoose among others are empty or nealy so. While they are eligiable for speedy deletion (A3 - No content whatsoever), I am holding off for now assuming that you intend to expand them. Jon513 18:03, 13 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I don't see how the page I created differs significantly from, say, the Tito's Vodka page.

I don't claim you approve of the Tito's Vodka article, but someone obviously does, since it's still here.

Which doesn't explain its relevance here. Of course, you immediately contradict yourself with your next question ("You think something is worthy of a Wikipedia article only if it's won an award?"), which only makes the slightest bit of sense if you think-- as is pretty obvious from the original bit I quoted and the tone of this question -- that I do. And once again, WP:INN.

Again, I don't think I included anything excessively praising, or indeed anything praising at all, so it's hard for me to see how you'd construe it as advertizing.

Publicity for local and unremarkable product.

I suspect it's the clause about the founder enjoying his vodka in a dry martini that you're objecting to; if so, I wish you'd come out and say it.

I wasn't using the existence of Tito's--an American vodka--to suggest that Rehorst--another American vodka--merits inclusion. I was comparing the relative informational content of the two articles, which I think are similar.

No. The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel article linked provides support for my linking of the two industries (craft distilling and craft brewing). A local newspaper article? Very convincing demonstration of the worldwide impact of a brand-new product. And "craft brewing" and Milwaukee? Please.

FYI, it's "non sequitur"; correct spelling will certainly contribute to the air of imperiousness you're trying so hard to cultivate.

All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia, or, if you disagree with the notice, discuss the issues at Talk:Collared Mongoose. You may remove the deletion notice, and the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached, or if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria.
