IFC (Canadian TV channel) and Cosmopolitan TV (Canadian TV channel)
Hi Bearcat, User:E789999 has revert my edits and restoring the cable provider and channel positions on IFC (Canadian TV channel) and Cosmopolitan TV (Canadian TV channel). Could you remove all satellite and cable providers after the channel went off the air on any defunct Canadian channels. The following defunct Canadian channels have include Canadian channel providers and channel positions: Action (Canadian TV channel), BBC Kids, Cosmopolitan TV (Canadian TV channel), IFC (Canadian TV channel), Comedy Gold (TV channel), Teletoon Retro (English), Télétoon Rétro (French). M3 (Canadian TV channel), G4 (Canadian TV channel) and Sundance Channel (Canadian TV channel) already cease broadcasting and channel positions and cable and satellite providers are removed after after the channel went off the air. So could you talk to User:E789999 to do not restore and revert the channel positions and cable providers from the availability after the channel cease broadcasting. Hi there. I know you do a lot of edits to Canadian articles. I've been pulling my hair out with an editor at Southwestern Ontario and other Ontario articles. Their edits seem scattered and I'm not sure how to fix them, as I'm not sure what this editor is trying to do besides add content, but I may be completely wrong. Aldermen/councillor categories
Hello. I was wondering why you moved articles on local politicians in the Netherlands from "Aldermen of X" categories (such as Category:Aldermen of The Hague) to "Municipal councillors of X" categories (such as Category:Municipal councillors of The Hague). Aldermen (members of municipal executives) are not the same as municipal councillors, nor are aldermen necessarily also municipal councillors. Luxorr (talk) 17:34, 7 October 2019 (UTC)
- In response to your response: I appreciate that the translation might've led to confusion. It seems that in articles on Dutch politics, the word "alderman" has been used as a translation of wethouder, which is a member of the municipal executive, and not a municipal councillor (though they could simultaneously be councillors before 2002). To my knowledge, the word "alderman" has never been used on Dutch politics articles to mean municipal councillor, but we could avoid this confusion by simply not translating the term wethouder. Unfortunately I accidentally hit the enter key in the process of trying to type an edit summary, and if there's a way to go back and alter an edit summary after it's been saved I've never been told how it works. So the only thing I can do is provide an explanation now.
No, you can apply ECP again and add an explanation (just like an edit summary). As it stands now, there's no rationale...which is a violation of WP:ECP. Please address this. Buffs (talk) 16:26, 7 October 2019 (UTC)

If not, it is British slang, and means the same thing as ephemera. Karen Levine, author of Hana's Suitcase - Karen's birthplace
Hi Bearcat, Karen Levine is a personal friend. She was pleased and surprised to see someone had created a Wiki page for her; however, she pointed out to me that her birthplace was incorrect. The page says she was born in Ottawa. She was, in fact, born in Toronto. I went into the system and changed it, but was unable to offer a citation to back it up because the same error appears in many other places online. Perhaps that's why you changed it back? In any case, it's wrong. Karen was born in Toronto and raised in Ottawa. (She now lives in Toronto.) Hello Bearcat. The subject page existed to preserve the attribution for PostCard News, which was originally a fork from Mahesh Vikram Hegde, which had been deleted. When I did this, I was following the "move to subpage of talk page" model presented in WP:Merge and delete. Please restore so that the attribution of PostCard News is not lost.

Jeanne d'Arc Boulevard article
Hey there Bearcat,
A few months ago I wrote an article on an artery road in Ottawa, Ontario (Draft:Jeanne d'Arc Boulevard). I then believed it was worthy of an article, since it is a major road in the city and I found that many other comparable roads had their own articles. My article submission got denied a few times, and not knowing doing so was against the guidelines, I re-published the article under the main wiki which I shouldn't have done.
I now see that the article was very undersourced, and I took the time to do some extensive research and greatly improve the article, adding info about the future O-Train light rail station, the Orléans campus of La Cité collégiale, more about the road's history, and other things that make it worthy of having its own article.
I resubmitted the revised article and I'm hoping that it'll get approved this time around!

I would like to improve/update the Kent Tate article. The process of making requests on the KT talk page has made me quite weary. I was wondering if there is a task force or Canadian editors interested in improving Canadian filmmakers' pages. I have drafted a change page. I have access to all the articles. I have reached out for help on my talk page but was told I'm a poor writer. This may have some truth to it but I haven't received near the push back on any other article that I've written... so makes me wonder a bit. Do you have any possible suggestions?
