October 2020 - Occam's razor

Naysaying is not an argument. If you feel the need to "revert" my contributions, you should, perhaps, offer some justification - especially on a philosophy page. Michael Lee's cited paper was a criticism of one of mine, I have a pretty clear understanding of the weakness of his position, and I am not just lightly making the remarks I made (at least not that one). Also, I guess "not a minor edit" depends on what one means by "minor". I would not presume to delete or change any of the rather stupid, misleading and badly written stuff on this page. I added 331 characters to an 82,000 character document. That seems pretty minor to me.

I find your arrogance and hostile nature to be quite amusing. Aren't you implying you're a grown man? I don't care who you are, neither does this site. A minor edit by definition is a couple byte changes, changing a misspelled word or a punctuation change. Adding more than a word or two is by definition, not a minor edit.

Wikipedia doesn't care what you know, it cares what the world knows. You MAY be able to argue that your first paragraph addition was "relevant" but if you want to criticize a source, that is the purpose of the talk page. You simply added your own personal opinion of the source right into the article. Your second addition was clearly just an opinion also. Since you clearly didn't read it, perhaps try reading WP:FORUM again! My first edit on Wikipedia was removed for the exact same thing, isn't it funny how things work? Help me!

What is the standard for classifying someone as Missing in Action? My question is do we need a source where such person is reported missing? What if the last ever recorded action of a person is that person wildly charging into battle by himself, his body never found and never to be heard of or mentioned in any historical text known. Is this enough to classify someone as Missing In Action? I am referencing Lucius_Gellius_Poplicola I beleive he should be denoted as MIA on Battle of Actium. I would say for the linked article it is fine listed as stated or some equivalent of It is assumed he was killed in action. The difference being a lack of reporting, not a specific report of them not being found. — IVORK _Talk 02:20, 17 November 2020 (UTC)
