Review of first article[edit]

Hello, Ben.hizer. Thank you for contributing. I have posted a list of links above that you may find useful for editing around here. One of the most important for content creation is the Manual of Style—our guideline to make the articles in the pedia consistent. If you have questions, feel free to ask anytime. I am currently very busy with my RL job, but I have talk page watchers who will usually jump in and help if I cannot answer quickly.

The following is a style-review of your article, The Indiana Citizen. If you prefer me to do a complete copyedit to the article, I am more than happy to do so, however, I feel you'll learn quicker by making the changes yourself. Let me know which way you prefer.

1) The use of external links in the article body is no longer acceptable. (I know, there are bunches still floating around, it's been a hard demon to kill.) If the sites linked have information to add to the article, these should be converted to simple, standard references. I am referring to the external links to to The Indiana Citizen, thestatehousefile.com, etc. (anything with the little arrow after it). [REASON: Externals are limited to the "References", "Further reading", and "External links" sub-sections];
2) The current LEDE / LEAD paragraph contains unique information that is better served in its own paragraph. Anything following and including "They were founded by ..." I would suggest inserting into the article body (following the Table of Contents) as the first section and paragraph there. Maybe title it "History", "Purpose", or "Creation". [REASON: The Lede should be a summary of the information and details contained in the article, and doesn't have to get too specific, the readers will go to the article body to find the detailed information if they are interested];
3) "They were founded by ..." subject ("They") should be the singular ("It") as it is not in agreement with the preceding sentence;
4) Leave a space between citations and the beginning of the following sentences;
5) The Home Page of the article subject should not be used as a reference—it is in the InfoBox and/or under the "External links" sub-heading in articles;
6) The sub-section "Code of Ethics" should either be expanded, or the existing single sentence should be inserted into one of the other sections in a logical place. [REASON: One sentence paragraphs are discouraged, especially if that is the only content of a section].

These address the style. The content is another matter. In my estimation, the subject may have notability problems and would need additional content and referencing to beef it up. Focus on showing why the Indiana Citizen is notable, and further explain just what it is. Without digging (which I will do in the coming days) I'm still struggling to understand the nature of the Indiana Citizen, and am not sure what you mean by use of the word, "platform". Is this an organization?, an IT app of some kind?, a news service?, etc. How does the target audience use this service or feature? I still don't know what the position of the platform is on the issues brought up in the article. Pretend you're writing to a fifth grader.
