Number of reported tornadoes[edit]

I saw your recent edits to List of United States tornadoes in November 2019 and there seems to be a bit of confusion over the number of reported tornadoes. When counting the number of reported tornadoes, we use filtered storm reports. It is not uncommon for the same storm event to be reported more than once, and filtering reduces these duplicates. For example, the storm reports for November 30 have two unfiltered tornado reports, but only one filtered report. The two unfiltered reports have the same time and location, indicating that the same tornado was reported twice, rather than two tornadoes being reported. I hope this clear things up a bit. Nashville Tennessee tornadoes[edit]

I saw your edit to tornadoes of 2020 for the Nashville tornadoes, EF3 damage has been confirmed but two things 1. The edit you made was approximately 1-2 hours before any preliminary information was released. Yes it did look like EF3 damage but it’s best to wait until the National weather service confirms it. 2. There was multiple tornadoes from the same storm last night, with what’s like EF4-EF5 damage 80 miles east of Nashville in Cookeville Tennessee. It’s important to wait until the National Weather Service releases info. Brandon Coccarelli (talk) 18:55, 3 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
