Introduction[edit]

Hello, I am Benito! I specialize in freshwater fish native to North America, and most of my edits will occur under said category. I am an avid fisherman, so what I write is not only from books and other readings, but also first hand experience. I hope I may contribute to your pursuit of knowledge!

By the way, here are a couple tips for you:
  • Feel free to put your biosketch above on your userpage: User:BenitoJuarez98. That is where other users will look for it.
  • Also, to help with references, when you are editing a page, put your cursor where you want to add a reference and click on the "Cite" button within the edit toolbar. Then, in the drop down menu, select the type of citation ("web", "book", etc.) and fill in the fields. Then press insert!
Happy editing, Arbitrarily0 (talk) 21:54, 5 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Ives Lake[edit]

Hi Benito! Great work on creating Ives Lake cisco! Actually, with a bit more work, this would be a good candidate for Wikipedia's did you know section on the Main page. The only thing we need to do is expand the article a bit, in the next few days, until it reaches at least 1,500 characters of prose (about twice as long). If you are up for it, you can use this article to add details about their physical description and/or diet. Respond here if you are interested or have any questions! Best regards, Arbitrarily0 (talk) 17:03, 8 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Arbitrarily0!
If you believe that the page will be a food canidate, than it will be! I will continue editing the Lake Ives cisco page until it is no longer a stub.
This fish has a strange and unique history. Although supposedly identified by a man in the 20th century, it appears that the fish was later mentioned in Carl Leavitt Hubbs revised work - a native Michigander. As you may have read, it is possible that this fish may or may not be a speerage species or perhaps even subspecies. It may just refer to a distinct population...however, this is unknown.
I hope that this fish is not extinct, although it is highly likely due to the Great Lakes invasion of the alewife fish.
Excuse any typos, please. I'm on my phone.

Arbitrarily0, What is the time frame for which you want this article completed? I am positive I will not have any time to edit it today (January 8th), but I do plan on editing it still. --Benito 21:35, 8 January 2015 (UTC)
We are in no rush! We should submit it by next Wednesday, so there is plenty of time. Arbitrarily0 (talk) 21:55, 8 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
