April 2010[edit]

Please do not remove speedy deletion notices from pages you have created yourself, as you did with this edit to Jerry Fried. Please use the {{hangon}} template on the page instead if you disagree with the deletion, and make your case on the page's talk page. Thank you. GB fan[edit]

i apoligize I messed up that rule it will not happen again. to contest your speedy deletion I remind that being the elcted official of 40,000 people is a noteable entry in an Encyclopedia that has 3 million articles. Benjamin1414141414141414 (talk) 20:05, 24 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia has specific notability guidelines. There is a general notability guideline and there is a biography specific guideline that includes some politician specific language. I would suggest reading the linked guidelines so that you can explain how he meets the guidlines. ~~ GB fan ~~ talk 20:11, 24 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
In the case of politicians, local politicians (including mayors) are only notable if they've been the subject of significant indpendent coverage in reliable sources. There are no (non-primary) sources cited in Fried's article. —C.Fred (talk) 20:25, 24 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Your FFU request[edit]

Hello, and thank you for your request! Unfortunately, your request has been declined. The reason is shown on the main Files for Upload page. This request will be archived after seven days. Regards, Blurpeace 23:33, 24 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hangon template[edit]

I removed your hangon template from the Jerry Fried article. That tag is only needed for articles that are nominated for speedy deletion. Jerry Fried is not nominated for speedy deletion so the tag is not needed. If this article ever gets put up for deletion it will only get deleted if an article for deletion discussion decides it should be deleted. Please do not put the {{hangon}} template back on the article. ~~ GB fan ~~ talk 02:02, 26 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

John Parker (captain)[edit]

Such edits appear to be vandalism and have been reverted. If you would like to experiment again, please use the sandbox. Please do not (1) violate WP:COPYPASTE, by copying the data from John Parker (captain) to John Parker (Captain), and (2) violate WP:MOS in regard capitalization conventions. File copyright problem with File:King crown 2 72th.gif[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:King crown 2 72th.gif. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 10:21, 4 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Michael M. Horn requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content. You may wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you.
