Welcome[edit]

Hello Benl Loves History and welcome to Wikipedia! We appreciate encyclopedic contributions, but some of your contributions, such as the ones to the page Henry Knox, do not conform to our policies. For more information on this, see Wikipedia's policies on vandalism and limits on acceptable additions. If you'd like to experiment with the wiki's syntax, please do so in the sandbox rather than in articles.

If you still have questions, there is a new contributors' help page, or you can write {{helpme}} below this message along with a question and someone will be along to answer it shortly. You may also find the following pages useful for a general introduction to Wikipedia.

I hope you enjoy editing and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. Feel free to write a note on the bottom of my talk page if you want to get in touch with me. Again, welcome! Flyer22 (talk) 01:40, 7 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your attempt to improve the article Henry Knox. There are a couple of things you should fix, though.

  1. The name field in the infobox isn't an appropriate place for peripheral information such as nicknames.
  2. More seriously, you haven't provided a citation. Wikipedia aspires to have sources for all its information. This is particularly the case for edits that could be confused with simple vandalism.

Please take a look at the three revert rule. NewEnglandYankee (talk) 01:52, 7 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I read books, too. So what? If your information is true, please provide a citation and put it in the appropriate place. Like any other online space, Wikipedia has rules. If you don't learn them, your contributions won't be accepted. NewEnglandYankee (talk) 01:55, 7 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hello fellow Wikipedians, I'm new so don't think I'm an expert at this stuff.

                                                      Thank You,
                                                        Ben Loves History
