R.Chandrasekar[edit]

R. Chandrasekar is an Indian politician. He was elected to the [Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly] from the Manapparai constituency[1] in 2011 and retained his seat in the elections of 2016. He represents the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam party[2].

R.Chandrasekar is a Politician[3] and Social Worker with extensive experience in community development and public welfare activities. Because of his unwavering commitment, he has built aalayam welfare trust as his social campaign to end poverty, which has had a significant impact across the entire region. Civil Engineering degree in hand, he entered the construction industry, where he rose to prominence. He kept his construction company running smoothly, he became the managing director and was responsible for a number of government projects that benefited the rural and urban areas. Mr.Chandrasekar founded the Alayam Welfare Trust as a non-profit with the primary goal of assisting the downtrodden to improve their standard of living and transform their way of life. The goal is to improve the lives of children, youth, women, people with disabilities, and other underserved groups by providing access to quality education, training, employment, and entrepreneurship opportunities for women. He has been working in public welfare for the past nine years, which has required him to hold constant meetings and organise numerous social activities throughout the year in various parts of Tamil Nadu

Public Life[edit]

Mr. Chandrasekar has been working to eradicate poverty and social injustice for several years. He accomplishes this by implementing comprehensive health, education, livelihood, and disaster preparedness and response programmes that are well thought out and well-executed. His overarching goal is to improve the lives and livelihoods of women and girls from poor and marginalised communities by empowering them. Mr. Chandrasekar ensures that the most vulnerable can affect and sustain equitable change by working with community groups, government departments, and professional bodies. This gives Mr. Chandrasekar even more opportunities to collaborate with national partners and ensure that the poor reap the benefits of his hard work and trust. Mr. Chandrasekar's activities have had a significant impact on society, resulting in positive social change for the betterment of all Organizing public inconveniences and advocating for societal problems and needs are core responsibilities of Mr. Chandrasekar's job. He has an important role to play in giving the voiceless a platform. Through the non-profit organisation Aalayam, people who are concerned about any type of social or economic difficulty can receive help and lend a helping hand to others in need. Mr. Chandrasekar helps to resolve conflicts in a positive way and fosters a culture of trust.

Mr. Chandrasekar has come a long way in his work for women's empowerment by performing major functions. Educating women, reducing the rate of female infanticide, and providing employment opportunities for women are a few examples.

Mr. Chandrasekar plays a important role in the social advancement of the poor and disadvantaged. He has done an admirable job, as well, with regards to that. Eradication of poverty is one of the many initiatives he has taken on, as are other efforts to combat social ills. He's helped build schools, hospitals, and community centres, and he's made sure that people in rural areas and other marginalised groups have access to these basic necessities. Mr. Chandrasekar's working concept is to serve humanity, as an example, so he still has a long way to go in nation building.

Paralympic Movement across Tamilnadu[edit]

"An organisation called the Tamil Nādu Paralympic Sports Association is non-partisan and non-profit at the same time. "Physically challenged sports, athletes with mobility disabilities, amputations, blindness, and cerebral palsy are the focus of this organisation. " As part of the Global Paralympic Movement, Mr. Chandrasekar, President of the Tamil Nādu Paralympic Sports Association,[4] organises people to participate in competitive sporting activities.He helps identify potential Paralympians and assist athletes. For the past decade, the Tamil Nādu Paralympic Sports Association has worked solely to promote physical activity among Indians with disabilities, including those who are blind. Tamil Nādu Paralympic Sports Association is a member of both the Indian Paralympic Committee as well as the International Paralympic Association. It is also recognised as a National Sports Federation by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports of the Government of India.

The Tamil Nādu Paralympic Sports Association provides trainers and coaches with a toolkit of resources aimed at engaging future generations in the history, Para sports, and values of the Paralympic Movement in order to create a more inclusive society for all people. It provides a variety of simple lesson plans that introduce students to inclusion through Paralympic values, para sports, and the inspiring achievements of para-athletes worldwide.

It is the goal of the Tamil Nādu Paralympic Sports Association, under Chandrasekar, not only to contribute to achieving SDG 4, "Quality Education," but to be an effective tool for achieving all the SDGs as well. It's also a big part of bringing the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities into effect. On and off the field, Mr. Chandrasekar aims to educate athletes to be their best selves. At competitions and events, para-athletes can participate in workshops and activities that can help them achieve their goals, which are periodically organised by the Tamil Nadu Paralympic Sports Association and the Aalayam trust.

Athletes' health and well-being are top priorities for Mr. Chandrasekar. He  works closely with the media to promote the Paralympic Movement and human rights for all. At the Paralympics, youth regional games, youth world championships, and athlete forums/conferences, athletes can get involved in several activities.
Proud Paralympian leaders  have been trained to deliver workshops and activities to paralympians. When mariyappan Thangavelu won a stunning silver medal as India's representative at the Tokyo Olympics, it was clear that Mr. Chandrasekar's efforts had paid off. Mariyappan Thangavelu is the only state delegate. When he returned from the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio with a gold medal[5], he did Tamil Nadu proud. Men's high jump T63 Paralympian T. Mariyappan cleared 1.86 metres for a season's best silver medal in his second straight Paralympics.

Social Services[edit]

In Tamil Nadu, the R.Chandrasekarhas a large footprint. There are a wide range of experts at , including those in agricultural and rural development, microfinance, business management, and academic research. As a result, he has evolved programmes in response to community needs, raising awareness and enlisting active participation from those we serve. The Government of tamilnadu -Aalayam trust-Community tripartite model has proven to be a win-win situation for all parties involved.

Project life, Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana, Aajevika are some of the initiatives supported by R.Chandrasekar . Skill and knowledge are the foundations for economic and social development in a country. India has long struggled with a skills shortage among its children and women. An effort has been made to bridge this skills gap by the Indian government through various programmes such as Skill Acquisition and Knowledge Awareness for Livelihood Promotion, Polytechnic Scheme, etc. to bridge the skills deficit. For this reason, the R.Chandrasekar has extended its helping hands to ensure the programmes are successful.

There is only one enemy facing the entire world today, and that is "CORONA." This pandemic virus has already spread to every country in the world, including India. There are a number of different strategies and actions being taken by the Indian government to combat COVID-19. The spread of this pandemic disease has been curtailed in India by a variety of measures and rules, including changes in lifestyle. The Tamil Nadu government has taken every precaution to keep the pandemic under control, and so far, it appears that we are winning the war. Despite the tough measures taken, the virus spread has been significantly curbed.

R.Chandrasekar has have teamed up with the government of tamilnadu and is actively fighting COVID-19. Mr.Chandrasekar and government employees are working all over the state, including in the city of Chennai, which has been the hardest hit. Chennai's Community Intervention Program is now run by the Greater Chennai Corporation (GCC)[6], which is part of the Tamil Nadu government. There are also several AALAYAM TRUSTs in Chennai that collaborate with the government to conduct screening, isolation, referral, and public awareness campaigns and vaccination[7] in tamilnadu.

The government has made progress in enrolling and retaining students in school, particularly those from the marginalised sector, through the Right to Education Act of 2009[8]. According to the Institute for Policy Research Studies[9] (PRS), a survey conducted in 2014 by the National Survey for Estimation of Out-of-School Children. Even with such a large population, the Right to Education Act has yet to be fully implemented.

Many rural residents, whose primary source of income is agriculture, were suffering during the draught season because they were involved in community development. Recognizing that there was going to be rain, he immediately set in motion a dredging project that restored the [River]'s[10] three major canals, allowing water to freely flow to nearby agricultural land. This was a much-needed project at the time, and it left a lasting impression on the community.

Chandrasekar doesn’t just stop at tree planting; we make sure it's maintained over time. Several environmental education camps are held throughout the year as part of the Go Green Initiative. Rainwater conservation, a plastic-free environment, and road rallies for a variety of significant events are examples of such activities. Somayampalayam Canal Cleaning[11] and the Maruthamalai Cleaning Campaign[12] are two noteworthy occasions (Plastic Free Environment). Under his supervision and guidance, experienced staff in the field analyse daily challenges in rural people's livelihoods, and a detailed impact analysis report is prepared. This helps prioritise projects according to need. One (1) Skill Gap Analysis is one of the impact studies. Women in Entrepreneurship 3) Self-Help Organization 4) Disadvantaged5) Unemployed Rural Youth Chandrasekar also launched a Kiddathon project[13] began in 2015 with the goal of motivating and educating children aged 6 to 16 years old to walk 5 kilometres as part of a community service project. Even though it began as a small gathering, it quickly grew in popularity among attendees and has since evolved into an annual tradition. More than 700 kids participate each year, and that number is rising.

Poverty Alleviation Through Empowerment Programs[14] DDU-GKY[15] focuses exclusively on rural youth aged 15-35 from low-income families . A key part of the Skill India campaign is supporting government social and economic initiatives like the Make in India, Digitization of the country's economy, Smart Cities, and the Startup India[16], Stand-Up India campaigns. More than 180 million young people, or 69% of the total, live in rural areas in the United States. About 55 million of these young people are at the bottom of the economic ladder, coming from low-income families and having little to no access to employment opportunities.

R.Chandrasekar Health Camps are on the move and are run by doctors, nurses, paramedics, and community health workers who are all highly qualified. Health camps are held to provide free healthcare to the underprivileged. He provides meedicines and equipments at low cost througn aalayam pharmacy[17] to people. He also provided covid protection equipments like mask and sanitisers[18] to community workers in coimbatore. He also facilitates yoga practices services to people in and around coimbatore[19].

To address society's unmet needs and to empower and equip the underprivileged, the trust has a number of initiatives in the works, all of which are motivated by and driven by him. With the government's appreciation, his tireless and brilliant efforts will continue to reduce economic disparities and serve as a support service for various government programmes. Improvement in the abilities of the less fortunate to take advantage of the opportunities in society is what motivates him to redouble his efforts in this direction.
