Re:Adoption[edit]

Sure, I'd be happy to. It's rather late over here (US Pacific Time), so I'm off to bed, but I'll get back to you later on the issues you want to address. Cheers, Sephiroth BCR (Converse) 10:24, 25 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I meant updating the userbox on your user page, but I did it for you. In any case, as to your question of updating references, it isn't necessary. References vary depending on what you're sourcing from, but most commonly (given that this is an online encyclopedia), you'll find yourself citing online sources. You can use the {{cite web}} template to cite these sources. For instance for this game review, the proper way to cite it would be: <ref>{{cite web|url=http://gba.gamespy.com/gameboy-advance/castlevania-aria-of-sorrow/5853p1.html|title=GameSpy: Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow Review|publisher=[[GameSpy]]|author=Turner, Benjamin|date=[[2003-05-03]]|accessdate=2008-02-27}}</ref> The fields are rather simple. "url" is self-expanatory, "title" is the name of the article, "publisher" is self-explanatory, "author" is self-explanatory, "date" is the time the article was published, and "accessdate" is the date you first cited the reference. As such, you don't need to update the dates continuously. Anyhow, as your primary concern seems to be the actual coding, I'd recommend going through this tutorial. In any case, you've stated your intention at the moment is to make small edits there and there (a practice known as being a gnome here), which is certainly admirable and respectable. However, if you do have a particular interests in terms of the articles you want to edit, then I would advise you to join the relevant WikiProject for those articles. A WikiProject is basically a group that has a scope of articles they operate on, and it serves as a medium for centralizing discussion, doing improvement drives, assessing articles, and other related tasks. For instance, if your interest was in video games, I would direct you to the video game WikiProject. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. Sinusotomy[edit]

Another editor has added the {{prod}} template to the article Sinusotomy, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but the editor doesn't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and has explained why in the article (see also Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not and Wikipedia:Notability). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia or discuss the relevant issues at its talk page. If you remove the {{prod}} template, the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached.
