Edit summaries[edit]

Hello, BigNasty. Please don't forget to fill in an edit summary for each edit you make. Your change to the number of Muslims in India (per Religion in India) seems sound, and in line with at least one of the cited sources - compared to one other of the cited sources, it's actually an underestimate - but editors who watch the page would be justified in reverting the change, simply because you gave no edit summary. February 2017[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm LiliCharlie. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions to List of languages by number of native speakers have been undone because they did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think a mistake was made, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Disambiguation link notification for March 16[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Awadhi dialect, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Pratapgarh District. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

North India[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm Batternut. I noticed that you made a change to an article, North India, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you.

Religion is a very contentious subject, so any claims about who believes in what really must be reliably sourced. I'm sure you didn't just make up the numbers, so please provide your source as a reference. Thanks, Batternut (talk) 09:22, 8 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not add or change content, as you did at North India, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you.

The scope of the North India article is also highly contentious, as you can see from the talk page, so adding to the scope (ie Chhattisgarh) needs reliable source. If it is a valid addition you should easily be able to find good reference. Thanks, Batternut (talk) 09:55, 9 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I didn't add the state of Chattisgarh, but rather added a Hindi dialect known as Chattisgrahi as this is spoken in neighbouring states in Madhya Pradesh.

Indian Pashtuns?[edit]

Please stop adding this nonsense to the Pashtun people article. This has been discussed to death which you would know, had you decided to spend even 2 mins reading the Talk page. Indian muslims do not refer to themselves as Pashtun. Your source even mentions Pashtunwali, which is non existent in India. Refer to the talk page before adding anything. --Xinjao (talk) 19:20, 3 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

October 2017[edit]

Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia. We welcome and appreciate your contributions, including your edits to Awadhi language, but we cannot accept original research. Original research refers to material—such as facts, allegations, ideas, and personal experiences—for which no reliable, published sources exist; it also encompasses combining published sources in a way to imply something that none of them explicitly say. Please be prepared to cite a reliable source for all of your contributions. Thank you. Yamaguchi先生 (talk) 18:10, 27 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for March 13[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Awadhi language, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Barabanki and Gonda (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
