Re: Talkback

In response to this – you speak as if I could possibly know what pages are on your watchlist? (Also, you have a new reply there.) ╟─TreasuryTagcabinet─╢ 17:07, 1 January 2011 (UTC)

Julien Maury and Alexandre Bustillo

Since they are now making a second film (the first one was Inside) I thought I should make an article for them. That being said, do you think I should make separate articles for them or make it one article for the both of them as they seem to work together for their films?--CyberGhostface (talk) 00:19, 2 January 2011 (UTC)

Okay, thanks.--CyberGhostface (talk) 01:32, 2 January 2011 (UTC)

The Texas Chain Saw Massacre

Hey Bignole. I was wondering if you could look over the comments made by TCO at my user subpage about improving the article. Thanks, --TÆRkast (Communicate) 13:48, 16 January 2011 (UTC)

Happy 10th

Guest Stars

Thanks for you comment on dispute resolution. Just a quick question, do you not think we should have lists of cast on season pages? Jayy008 (talk) 22:45, 16 January 2011 (UTC)

Sorry about the slow reply. That's a good way of doing things (keeping the infobox out of the episode list). Yeah, I haven't been including every guest star, only returning characters, characters with names and storylines. Basically characters that you find in an episode summary. I would love to have 90210 like Smallville but there isn't enough sources and prose. Any rules against the matter? Or how the page should be ordered? I'd love to know exactly how a page should look. I usually look to Smallville (season 10). Jayy008 (talk) 23:25, 16 January 2011 (UTC)
Thanks for taking the time to inform me of all of that. Much appreciated! Jayy008 (talk) 00:49, 17 January 2011 (UTC)

Micheal Rosenbaum is cometing Armageddon in Adelaide on March 5th. Also present will be Supergirl. Thought you might be intrested in adding that to the section on guest charaters. I'm not sure when the finat episode is but he is also going to be at the Sydnet one late feb. So I'm thinking it will be around the final episode so a good time for him to hype it up. 129.96.130.183 (talk) 04:57, 21 January 2011 (UTC)

List of...

Since you're the most informed about TV guidelines. Could you reply to me on the TV Project page please? List of One Tree Hill characters has been blocked because of me edit-warring with an IP. The IP keeps adding characters like "teacher" and "High school guy." So pointless and he keeps adding like 20/30 of cast like that. Could you just clarify that things like that are really not notable. The page is already too long. Jayy008 (talk) 19:55, 19 January 2011 (UTC)

Hi Bignole, can you do me a favour, please? I was wandering if you could post on the discussion page of "List of..." the same thing you posted on the IP's page (much appreciated, BTW!), just so I can point to there next time an edit-war occurs. Jayy008 (talk) 01:40, 20 January 2011 (UTC)

Thank you for all of your help. Jayy008 (talk) 20:10, 21 January 2011 (UTC)

The Dark Knight Rises

I know it's just a demonstration. See my discussion page above where you posted your discussion and also see User talk:Erik#Reply. Jhenderson 777 16:03, 21 January 2011 (UTC)

I appreciate it that you didn't revert me at the time. And also you are welcome to weigh in the matter yourself being a responsible contributor on film related articles that I know you are. Happy editing. :) Jhenderson 777 16:37, 21 January 2011 (UTC)

Template:Be_civil

Just in case you aren't watching, I just put up a description of how I assume it is used. I've only seen it once and not in practice, but conforms to kind of things I've seen on pages without the template. Please feel free to correct, improve, etc. I'd like to use it in a few places. :- ) CarolMooreDC (talk) 12:25, 21 January 2011 (UTC)

Just took this to WP:Civil talk page, FYI. CarolMooreDC (talk) 15:42, 25 January 2011 (UTC)

Smallville summaries

Not that it matters to me either way, but those summaries were based on the press releases, which is why I updated the references from docstoc to Futon earlier. I simply put them in because Nasirakd (talk) seems so intent on getting some kind of content on the page, and his were fairly inaccuate and poorly worded (PS: I finally gave him a L1 Unsourced warning for "Kent"). Re: Resources

I'm not sure if that's the same type of account I had access to, but both are definitely Lexis. However, I don't get to use Lexis as much these days as I used to, but I do have access to NewsBank and other news archive services through my local library website. — Hunter Kahn 05:05, 26 January 2011 (UTC)

superhero film continuity

In regards to your latest edit on Spider-Man (2012 film). I am not agreeing or disagreeing with that statement, I just notice the Batman films aren't done that way yet as well. (Example:Batman Begins is not stated to precede anything) Do you think they should be done that way as well. Jhenderson 777 15:31, 25 January 2011 (UTC)

I would prefer that you bring the discussion to the talk page for the Spider-Man reboot. As far as this discussion, there didn't appear to be a consensus, so I don't know how you can use it to support your stance. Using the Batman films as a guideline, this film should not have anything in the "preceded by" field. Why haven't you placed Batman Begins as following Batman & Robin? Why haven't you placed Batman & Robin as preceding Batman Begins? Why haven't you placed the Spider-Man reboot as following Spider-Man 3? It would very much make sense to do so if this section in the infobox is for navigation purposes, yet you haven't. Do you object to Spider-Man (film series) having been moved to Spider-Man in film? There was a clear consensus regarding that there are two separate film series. My edits are based on what I've been informed in the past, and based on a consistency with other films with which this relates, I will continue to remove your edit, unless you can show me a clear consensus that this is how it's done and show me that it's done this way with other film articles, namely the Batman films.-5- (talk) 05:43, 27 January 2011 (UTC)
Look, I'm going to re-add your edit, and I'm going to edit Spider-Man 3, Batman & Robin, and Batman Begins to adhere to your stance. However, I'm pretty sure this is going to be objected to, especially on the Batman articles, but I just want you to be aware ahead of time.-5- (talk) 05:55, 27 January 2011 (UTC)

discussion

Please voice your opinion here Thank you. Jayy008 (talk) 23:41, 26 January 2011 (UTC)

the title of the section is not reoccurring characters, it's MINOR CHARACTERS! and that WAS a minor character. get over yourself. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 96.229.4.7 (talk) 23:42, 29 January 2011 (UTC)

SpongeBob characters

Thanks for the reply Bignole. Honestly, I have had a rough time with these SpongeBob articles as they have seem to be overrun by the editors over at SpongePedia. But that is neither here nor there. I've been edit warring there so I'm not going to touch the page for a while. I'm not confident that the order that HoppyBunny has left the article best articulates accurate information, but again, I don't want to get into more bickering, especially with an editor who doesn't seem to care about discussing or policies. As a fellow editor, what would you recommend I do from here? BOVINEBOY2008 19:09, 30 January 2011 (UTC)

The order isn't going to "hurt" the page per say, so I wouldn't worry about reverting it anymore. What I would do is probably follow all of these steps. If they don't work, then go ahead with an RfC. I'd like to hope that if it has to get to an RfC stage then the result will end all issues. But, stubborn editors will be stubborn for a long while. Personally, I always stick to the "First appearance" rule, but with an animated series it's not the same as with live-action. For instance, with Smallville, we get the order of the cast from the opening title sequence. That's how we've always kept them (though, not for a lack of trying on others' parts to try and reorder based on the "recent" status of everyone). With animated they don't always write off characters, they simply find a new person to voice them. I'll keep an eye on the talk page and see how it progresses, but I would certainly go through the "Before requesting comment" steps.  BIGNOLE  (Contact me) 19:49, 30 January 2011 (UTC)
Okay, thanks for the response. We'll see if anyone responds to the thread, although I think the chances are low. I'll go back through episodes and see if there is a consistent credit order and what the original appearance order was. BOVINEBOY2008 20:02, 30 January 2011 (UTC)
