Smallville Ratings Discovery

Hello, I made a discovery when I was perusing through a database the other day. I found the article that is being cited for the rating for "Tempest," but the 3.8 figure isn't the number of viewers, but a percent of the nation's estimated 105.5 million TV homes, meaning that with a rating share of 3.8%, 3.8% of 105.5 million TV households were watching the episode. Clark Kent (Smallville)

Hello. In regards to your reverts on "Clark Kent (Smallville)", I don't see any reason not to use relavent parameters in {{Infobox character}}. Fictional characters definitely do have last appearances (hence the existence of that parameter) and Clark's was obviously the last episode of his show. If they ever continue his story, then his last appearance will change but, at the moment, it's the Smallville finale. McLerristarr | Mclay1 02:23, 15 January 2012 (UTC)

First, the infobox is for all fictional characters, not just TV shows. Smallville expands past the television medium into novels and comic books. There is no such thing as a true "last" appearance, because they can appear any other mediums...see the discussion at Template talk:Infobox character#Removing "last". Additionally, just because a category exists does not mean that it needs to be filled out. Per WP:WAF#Infoboxes and succession boxes, for fictional characters we should be including things only essential to understanding them directly. That goes for family members as well, given that you cannot understand how Kara, Jor-El, or even Jonathan help a reader to understand Clark without additional context. If you need to explain it in the infobox, then it probably isn't that essential when it comes to basic understanding. Yes, they are important in his fictional life, but when it comes to a basic understanding of the character they don't lend any real weight without explanation. Clark also does not have a spouse. At the time of the ending of the series he and Lois had not married yet. We also do not need to know that he is "male" or "American". Most obviously he is male, his picture is evident of that and since we have never had a cross dresser or transgendered individual on the show, I think it's safe to say common sense would be implied here. As for "American", ignore the obvious nature of him not being real, he wasn't born in American and certainly doesn't have a green card, so he has no nationality. Just because he's an alien, doesn't mean he's not American. Technically, he is an illegal immigrant but as far as the government is concerned, he's American (and his fake birth certificate or whatever he has will say he was born in America). You're attributing real life characteristics to a fictional character. Being an "alien" does make him "no American". He cannot claim a nationality. Regardless, I don't think anyone reading the page would sit back and go, "Gee, I wonder if Clark Kent is Irish". It was made up by the people who wrote the commentaries. It's not at all important to the understanding of Clark Kent or Smallville; it's just a couple of fans' opinions. Also, he can be an alien and American. I'm British and Australian. You can be born in one country and move to another. McLerristarr | Mclay1 15:31, 23 January 2012 (UTC)

All comparisons are "made up", otherwise they are not comparisons they are influences. No one said that the suit was influenced by the Matrix, it merely drew a comparison. It also has nothing to do with understanding him because the comparison is not about the character, it's about the producers' decision to dress him that way. As for the "American" thing, what does that have to do with understanding the character? He's not an actual American, because he isn't real. He isn't a true "fictional" American because, for all intents and purposes (even stated by him in season six), he is an illegal alien in every sense of the words. He has no real "nationality". If you're merely commenting on where he is, then I think the lead identifying that he resides in Smallville, Kansas is sufficient.  BIGNOLE  (Contact me) 00:31, 24 January 2012 (UTC)

Okay, you removed my logos for Scream and A Nightmare on Elm Street. I guess you think that they are unnecessary. Okay. Another thing, since you are also a Smallville fan, by any chance that you are going to start an article about two of the show's soundtracks and score release? I'll just use the Scream logo, because the DVD box set cover is just for the first three film, but now that there is a fourth, and possibly two more in the future. The logo can generalize the article for future film releases.--NeoBatfreak (talk) 18:00, 29 January 2012 (UTC)

Another thing, it sounds to me that you only have two of the show's soundtracks, but not its third release, which contains its scores. I admitt that it does not have the complete scores, and most of them pretty much from the last season of the show.
